I'd like to have him playing as extra cover. Burns as my 18th man, Dearden as 19th and loop optionWhite Lightning wrote:
Before last weeks game Siebold said Dearden would be a chance this week but it definitely wasn't a definite. I have him too so hoping he can get a run soon in the starting 13. I wouldn't play him in my 13 but he could be a viable loop option as my bench is pretty weak re my 16th & 17th men & I've been using Watson, CNK, Xerri & Whitbread there so having another option in Dearden would be good.

Flanagan, Papenhuyzen, Butcher, Cust, Stimson, Garner, Robson, Wright, Welch are a few players I have penciled in my draft teams for next year if they are around a starting team somewhere

Quick poll on whether you'd rather have an extra trade or an extra 50 points right now.

Also Jayden Brailey going to the Knights so Blayke Brailey could be starting hooker at the Sharks. Flanagan will be very popular at the Roosters.

Butcher will be tempting if he locks down a starting role, but he won't come cheap. Currently averaging 48, and played over 10 games so no discount.
Cust won't be cheap either

Bethany_B wrote:Fifi being out a week means I have 2 main options, thoughts?
A: Sell Fainu 2 weeks early and get Josh Papalii in as a POD, I like him because he has more upside than Twal, and is dual FRF/2RF which gives me much-needed cover since I have 3 trades left and need to be able to cover 1 week injuries. I do plan to sell Fainu anyway, so this doesn't cost any trades I wasn't planning on using anyway. I'm 4k short of Klemmer and 14k short of JFH, otherwise I'd go one of them instead, but Papalii is a good POD too.
B: Hold the trade and cop 16 players this week, then sell Fainu in 2 weeks time to someone else
My team before trades:
Cook
Fifi, Haas
Lolo, Jurbo, Murray
SJ, Munster
Latrell, Bateman
Wighton, Teddy, Ponga
CS9, McInnes, Tevaga, Fainu
Burns, To'o, DBrown, Walters
Initially my thought was B, but the more I think about it, you definitely need to rectify your lack of cover ASAP as what happens if a similar circumstance happens this week or Fifita does something stupid next week when he returns from suspension
The sticking point though is who you're trading out. I think from what you've said you have 115k ITB (is this correct) so why not make Papalii move with To'o who's sitting at 19th man and probably won't make your 17 behind Burns who is your preferred WFB/CTR cover and then keep Fainu and Tevaga who are still making similar money and providing more reliable scores of 50+

Yes JRailey will be hot property next year! Although he may find himself behind Levi/Griffin. I think if Watson can lockdown a spot he will be a popular buy... also I think Croft will step up another gear next year. Already looking a lot more confident/comfortable and seems to be finding his feet in the team.

The rumour mill saying the Roosters want to get rid of Crichton due to attitude so Butcher could be in but his price would also have to be weighed up too.

Rumour mill also had then after Frizzell, which would leave Butcher in the same spot he's in now.
Certainly no hurry to be making decisions on next year right now, so can wait and see how it falls in the off season

I've been going backwards for weeks now, I'm cooked. Bring on next year.
Hot tip I'm starting with Sironen next year.

Sounds like you've been heading towards last year, in which case, next year is getting further away for you

The problem then is that I would only have 1 backup WFB for the run home, and I've got way too many hookers in my team. Fainu will only get 50+ while he starts, and he's probably only got 2 weeks left of starting, so I'd rather sell him and keep To'o who can also get good scores and give me more cover in my team.
The plan for later is to sell Tevaga in R21 to the best player I can afford, in any position (ideally 2RF or WFB but I'll decide that later, candidates at the moment are Arrow, Matto, Turbo and RTS)
