Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 74
Made up about 40 places to 286 with a 1042. Given what everyone is scoring I think ballsy captain moves are what will make some ground up on the run home (and even that wasn't really an option this week). Lots of players scoring about the same as the other top options in their positions, most teams look similar and no one has any trades to blow (maybe in a week or so). Tune in next week when captain obvious provides a few more insights

If the cardigan keeps getting those minutes then he is a genuine option for bench shenanigans

He is actually a decent fantasy prospect if he gets the mins. Just a shame he is playing in a stacked forward pack.Aardvark wrote:

The two times I have played him he has scored 50+ (one of those in about 35 mins). Curious to see what happens next week with TPG suspended and Glenn out. Gillet is probably back but definitely on minute watch. He goes at a pretty good PPM recently.

Two of SST/Brooks/Xerri becomes Verills and Bateman, the other will be lucky to see the light of day.

The Roosters are going to be shits with this SST injury - most secretive team in the comp, we’re going to have no idea how long he’s out for.

He’s a trade. Definitely long term injury. Knee, ACL my guess. Same one he’s had previous problems with. Gawn.

I believe that trophy goes to the Storm hands down.

Yep.
I have an idea what I want to do but some info about whether it’s say, one week or four might be handy. I don’t see it being forthcoming.

Captain options CS9, CM9 and Cook all score 55. Cool fluke. I put the (C) on Haas for an 8 point advantage.
It is good that CS9 isn't now set and forget (C) but you still have to take a big chance to really gain an advantage. How many captained Ponga or Bateman this week???

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 74
Torn on whether to trade SST as my last trade to NBrown. Would leave me with a ridiculously strong 18 with no idea of who to leave out if all fit, but the strong likelihood of having to play 15 or 16 in a couple of the later rounds. Wish I had one more trade and one less red dot....
Cook
Fifita, Haas
Taumalolo, JTurbo, NBrown
DCE, SJ
Bateman, Nikora
RTS, TTurbo, Ted
.
CS9, McInnis, Taupau, Ponga
Tevaga, Staggs (Brittain, Coates)

I thought he was done last week and was surprised not to hear anything about it through the week. Assumed he was okay and kept him this week, but he definitely needs to go now. Don't really care what Roosters say; I just don't want to be fucking around with that.
Which brings me to my question.
If you chaps had to pick one of these two to replace SST (I need 2RF cover with Taupau dropping back to the bench) would you choose D.Fifita, or D.Finucane?
If Id traded last week I'd have got Nathan Brown, but now I missed that boat. Only possible options I see in my price range are those two guys. Fifita looks to be in awesome form, and I hate battling H2H folk with him in their team. I do think I prefer him as an option.
Finucane is pretty reliable, but Fifita the better option?

I reckon Fifita has the higher ceiling but a bit more risk, I think he’d be my choice over Finucane. I can just afford Brown, I think I’m going to do it regardless of SSTs injury status. But it leaves me only one trade.

Still holding trades?
I see people mentioning getting the likes of Verrils, but these are the differentials with fantasy pedigree, well worth a look as they are still under the radar, and scoring well...
Player (Last 3 Avg)
Isaac Luke (68)
Matt Lodge (66)
Nathan Brown (59)
David Fifita (58)
Dave Nofoaluma (58)
Few others with upside and best matches potentially ahead of them...
Player (last match)
- Nathan Peats (60) - this could be his new norm. Rein out of favour
- James Graham (59) - now playing lock
- Luke Garner (58) - back to best and likely 80mins. Matto to lock
- Fotuaika (55) - looks to have a bigger role under new coach
- Ben Hunt (50) - be shocked if they don’t improve with origin over, fixtures soft, and all of him, widdop and Norman fit at the same time
Bet a few didn’t realise these chaps were going that high!

Jeez Garner still has a price tag in him. What's the story there? What actually happened to him and why was he out so long?
