Jeeze...Im feeling a bit time pushed to get a team sorted though (24 hours) vs what felt like 1/2 a year for the NRL lol

Haha, yeah I filled out a placeholder team last week, made a couple of tweaks yesterday, and expecting to have a semi-serious go at it on Sunday. Contemplating leaving a big chunk of salary on the table to start with, just trying to work out which rookies are worth it and whether I like any of the mid-priced QB2 options.
7 is a solid number, looking forward to it.

Are you guys in any other leagues that need an extra team?

And it's come to this.
The Raiders have released wide receiver Antonio Brown, the team announced Saturday morning.
Having traded the Steelers for Brown in the offseason, the former All-Pro receiver never played a down for the Raiders as he's been released just two days before the team's season opener.

Re: VSDT NFL cash comp
Have built myself a nice little squad with $0 ITB, looking forward to seeing what everyone runs with. Adams as VC was a bit of a waste but can't really go past the obvious C option anyway.
Good luck folks.

Re: VSDT NFL cash comp
Im not seeing much value in the Oak WRs to be honest... you never know I guess though!
Yeah certainly interested to see what everyone rolls out. I had a play with a few different strategies and landed on what I thought was best "value" make up.

How'd you all get on this round? I cant see live scores for the group. Maybe we need a league set up as well?

I like your team man, I went for more mid-price RBs to get Kelce and a couple of solid Ds. Tyreek Hill injury my only major issue that probably needs to be dealt with this week.
Got a 531.
Setting up a league would be good, but I can't see how to do it now that the comp has started.

Re: VSDT NFL cash comp
My team for anyone interested.
Mahomes (c), Jackson (Murray)
Fournette, Cook, Chubb, Jacobs (Sanders, Monty)
Adams, Hill, Hopkins, Thomas, Juju, Sutton (Deebo, Metcalf)
Kelce, Henry (Hockenson)
Pineiro (Seibert)
Seahawks (Jags)
Jackson, Hockenson & the Hawks D were 3 of the last pieces to get tinkered in to my team so very happy with their starts. Didn't have a close enough look to see if my Ds would gel well with their schedules, hopefully works out okay. Fingers crossed my kickers can hold their jobs for a couple of months at least. Rookie WR is always a crapshoot so will wait another week and see if I need to grab Hollywood or someone else on the bubble.

That is strong. Didn't realise Delanie Walker went so well, nice pick. Man Kamara, CMC, Barkley, that is a deadly RB group. Pretty much the only chink I can see in that squad is Wright as backup K, which is unlikely to matter. Let the chase begin!!

612 was good enough for 58th for the round.

Yeah bugger, sorry, should have set up a league but forgot.
Congrats Pacey - great start.
I stuffed up my team by having David More instead of DJ Moore lol so I have one problem to fix from the get go! lol!

Re: VSDT NFL cash comp
I'm mighty tempted to ditch Adams and Chubb. Give my cash cows one more week before fixing a couple.
Adams and Chubb to <10m WR and CMC. It feels more secure for heavy points. Hmmm
Pending team/injury news etc

Can't necessarily fault it, but Adams and Chubb are also perfectly good picks. Last year after a great Rd 1 I traded Kelce to Gronk after scores of like 3 v 30 something. Reasoning being everyone else in the group had Gronk, and I was stoked with the rest of my squad so wanted to kill a POD early. Kelce went on to murder the rest of the season and Gronk was a POS. Also traded Kamara>Zeke or maybe the other way around. Your suggestion is less sideways, so do whatever feels right.
I need to figure out a Tyreek replacement. Someone sideways like OBJ or Julio, or someone with some value and bank a little cash? Thinking either OBJ, Keenan, or Gallup. Hmm.

Well, those trades are dead now. Got a forced trade to make due to injury. Bah
