Verirlls - 61
Papalii - 41
Bateman - 81
Murray - 36
Reynolds - 60
Staggs - 49
Papenhuyzen - 42
Gutherson - 58
Total - 428
Staggs managing 49 in a 58 - 0 bloodbath really helped. Murray the only real letdown, Papalii a little under par but not disastrous.

Re: Finals Fantasy - week 1
mrbrownstone actually scores 428 - as you can see from his post above mine I forgot to change Sivo to Gutherson to make his team cap legal.
WT2K 2nd place
Sajjos's 1st attempt at a team would have come close, except he went over $1million over the cap. His rejigged team came 2nd last. obviously the league decided to dock all his points as a penalty for cap violations.
mrbrownstone and robelgordo equal 3rd place. Having a team at exactly $5million was sort of a sign.

Will run a comp again for week 2.
Is everyone happy with the format or does anyone have any tweaks they'd suggest?

Re: Finals Fantasy - week 1
Can't believe I've been ranked below bethany even though we scored the same and she paid $4000 extra for her points.
Ridiculous. There needs to be an investigation.
I hit more boundaries during the game too if we're going to any of those kind of tie-breakers.

I'm happy with the format, I already have a team in the making for this week, but I'll wait until after team lists.

I'd say keep it the same for ease, might be even harder to create an 8 man team for 2 games and 1 game in the next 3 weeks

The tie-breaker was whoever registered their team first (or more accurately whichever I entered into the spreadsheet first, which should equal the same thing)

Re: Finals Fantasy - week 1
The only change I'd like Milchy is a team limit. I reckon this round you can only pick 2 players from each team. This will make it more wide open & our teams will look different. This will stop the loading up of players in the perceived easier game & force us to pick players in the perceived harder game.

Do you think that was a problem this week?
We had a nice spread of different players picked. Other than Papenhuyzen, no 1 player dominated (admittedly with 2 extra games to pick from)

Great comp. Only thing I would suggest is a captain.

That is true I'm just trying to add an extra layer of diificulty. To me Souths v Manly will be the game to have plenty of players in because it will be higher scoring & Storm v Eels will be a tighter game.

I like the absence of a captain, it keeps the playing field a bit closer together
