If Jurbo and AFB are out for 1-2 weeks at start of season, would anyone pick base price possible replacements including Keppie or too much of a trap? Keppie started when Taupau was suspended in FW1 and got 46 in 45 mins but Thompson, Sironen & Paseka were also missing. Any idea how pack would look without Jurbo & AFB for 1-2 weeks (& Gosiewski also out with back injury early on) and if chance of replacement getting stable bench role with return of Jurbo & AFB

    8. Keppie/Sipley/Paseka
    9. Levi
    10. Taupau
    11. Thompson
    12. Sironen
    13. Waddell??
    14. Cust/Croker
    15. Keppie/Sipley/Paseka

There's something that has popped up a few times, and is as crazy to me as the idea that every club is going to give all their hookers game time every week.

Some people are worried that certain players are going to get a starting edge spot, and then only play 50 minutes. It just is not going to happen

There were 768 starting 2nd rowers last year
523 of them played 80 minutes or more.
    73 played 70+ minutes
    90 played 60+ minutes

82 played less than 60 minutes
9 of those 82 were Frank Winterstein
Many of the others suffered from injury or HIA

So basically, out of all the starting 2nd rowers last year, only one of them (Frank Winterstein) regularly got low minutes.
More than 75% of them played over 70 minutes

If Johnny Edgeman gets a starting 2nd row spot, he will play big minutes every week.

You can be concerned about injury.
You can be concerned about players being dropped for form.
But if a player is regularly starting on the edge, he will regularly play big minutes.

I guess the main concern with him is suspension or injury

    Good post.

So Pangai could very well start on the right edge it seems. At 600k, has to come into consideration. Averages 50.6 when starting at 2rf and playing 60+ mins

One thing worrying me about TPJ would be suspension record. Regardless of the charge he would have minimum 60% loading from 3 offences last year (could be more if same charge) so even a minor offence could mean 1 week off which would be a nuisance

Yes he plays that enforcer role in the pack & that requires borderline behaviour.

Definite trap but I reckon Paseka get the FR spot. I’m not sure he’s capable of big minutes (40-50), but if he was, he seems a potential tackle-breaking/slapsie machine.

Last year you wrote to us asking if we would please address the accessibility issues on NRL Fantasy.

To ensure we are keep you up-to-date, we wanted to write to you to notify you that, despite our best intentions, we've been unable to make any significant progress in this matter for the 2020 season. This is due many variables, some of which we have no control over, creating a difficult equation that resulted in our prioritising upgrading the Tipping products that will service 125,000-plus users in 2020.

Had a shuffle around with my team trying to fit lolo in.

    Koro
    Haas Herman
    D.Fifi Lolo Williams
    Moses Brimson/Luai
    Lomax Milne
    Papy Turbo 228k/Brimson

    B.Brailey Su'a Molo Grant

    Luai/228k 3x228k with 20k ITB

Trying to fit fifita in with Lolo, Haas, Moses is proving to be difficult and leaves either Luai or a 228k wing in my 17. Also finding it difficult to find solid FRF options outside of Haas.

my tv broke wrote:This is an interesting quote from Siebold if you like to try read into things, 'those' the key word -

“I’m giving Xavier an opportunity to play NRL this year. There’s no guarantees for anyone but I’d like to see him, Herbie Farnworth and Corey Oates fighting it out for those wing spots. Xavier has had a very good pre-season so it’s now up to him. He is a real talent. It will be great to see a guy like Xavier at the NRL Nines. It will be exciting for our fans to see the young talent we are bringing through.”

Not sure how Bird Staggs and Boyd then fit into the mix if he actually meant those three are fighting for two wing spots, or it was just a meaningless quote.

“Darius will play centre in the trial. He will play about 20 minutes and Jack will play some time at fullback, it will only be minimal but it will be good to see him back on the park. Birdy has done some reps at centre and fullback during the pre-season. We do have some depth in the outside backs, so everyone will get ample opportunity to stake a claim during the trials.”

EDIT: There is actually another CM article re Corey Oates only just returning to training after a leg infection. It says that he should be right for round 1, but if not, then Coates would probably take his place.

I find it amusing that the 2 players fighting it out for 1 spot are Coates and COates.

    This needed more love.

Not sure if genuinely innocent request, or pushing Milchy's buttons via his overt hatred of doing this to names that don't require it.

    Hey guys

Sorry I went quiet mid way last year but work really hammered me. But anyway, another year of fantasy. It was good to see a lot of discussion around the Front Row particularly concerning James until that unfortunate ACL injury.

A question I'd like throw out there - Penrith Panthers front row? Obviously you have Tamou, but with RCG leaving and Leota starting at the back end of last year is he an option to think about? Perhaps even Tetevano? I know the buzz is around Mofo and Knight for good reason but I'd like to open the discussion to really way out there options in case we miss anything
