Staggs kicked in the trial last week, I think he'd get it. He isn't too bad. Kicked 76% in Q CUP.
I'd honestly be a bit worried if we do pick Coates over Isaako though.. seems outrageous.
I am assuming Isaako is just on the bench this week to give him a run at FB when he comes on for Bird (while fresh). He doesn't really need a trial on the wing.. although it seems like the decision on Bird at FB has already been made.
Seibold also said being in the TSV humidity he will need macca to help out in the middle when it comes to defence; however, he would normally have a utility on the bench instead.

Wonder if GK goes to Staggs or Croft.
Whoever it goes to, their stocks may rise a little. If Croft, he might come into consideration.
Didn't even know Croft kicked goals.

I think that utility spot was going to be Paix, though.
Lodge/Ofa/possibly Glenn out means Macca adds a bit more value in defense/experience. I don't think they intend Paix to play many mins (if/when he gets a shot)
Macca probably wont get many mins either, but he is more capable of defending big mins in the middle of there is an early HIA/etc while we are light on bench forwards

But yeah, I am struggling to spend my NRL shop voucher, not to be ungrateful but there is barely any stock on there compared to say the Sharks store
Mostly grabbed some Kiwi clearance gear with it, otherwise will have to get some off these for the bedroom

I agree with you re: nrlshop.com. They seem to run out of stock so quick. I cant even use my voucher yet as they still dont ship to NZ. Just give me a kfc voucher ha ha

Who would you classify as the definite captain options this year?
My thinking is, make a team with all the value options in the second row (including Dfifita), obvious picks such as Papz, go for a captain option that isn't Haas or Lolo (have Fifita atm pending he doesn't seem hampered in the trial).
Currently have the following:
Friend
Fifita Carrigan
Fifita Williams Leilua
Cleary Mann
Aubs Lomax
Paps Aekins Cotric
Koro Hess Sua Brailey
Luai, 3*246 with around $200k itb
I think with that 2nd row you should try and get Hass for a set and forget captain

Number in brackets was rank of player in popularity.
Cook (20)
Vaughan (88) Tolman (70)
Arrow (46) Murray (13) Lane (100)
Morgan (14) Keighran (2)
Capewell (31) Holland (111)
Burns (79) Ravalawa (5) Sivo (22)
McCullough (45) Friend (54) Mahoney (49) Garner (27)
Nikora (3) Brown (1) Garrick (12) Simonsson (51)
His biggest POD was Kerrod Holland, who wasn't a POD on this site (same goes for Burns too). Most of his players were just regular picks. Lane and Vaughan were the closest to POD status, but it was pretty much a cookie cutter forum team.
It wasn't a cookie cutter team, it may have had players in common with many of the other teams here, but the structure with 4 strong hookers was totally different to every other team.

Pretty much what all these teams being chucked up are. A lot of similar names being thrown around just in different iterations.

https://www.nrl.com/news/2020/02/28/captain-carrigan-channels-parker-to-lock-down-new-role/
Carrigan says Parker was a very skillful player and wants to add that to a bit of skill to his game and get some good combos with Haas, Flegler and the other middles.
I am for some reason, starting to fall for this Carrigan bloke. Seems like one of those really well liked guys and speaks just as well as DCE.

If he manages to play 80 mins consistently, sounds like Turpin might be a decent POD (3% ownership).
Anyone bar McCullough contesting him for the hooker role?

He had no individually low owned players (the lowest owned ones from the team I posted actually were traded out before lockout for more popular players)
You could have made his team virtually indistinguishable from any others by changing just 2 of his bench for different players. Whilst obviously booze did very well, his strategy was not vastly different to what others were doing.
if that is all it takes to go against the vibe then we are nearly all rebels.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 9
There were heaps of people who ranked higher than me, I am not the droid you are looking for.
I simply grabbed a heap of cheap players and used 5 decent hookers to offset this gamble along with 231k in the bank to fix
Fish and chip paper now anyways
The community team was literally the cookie cutter team so is the best guide to follow
Anyways the beauty of this year is just like a Panthers mad monday, there is an abundance of cheap hookers to choose from
