Take a guess, really.
Xerri comes back in at left centre.
Dugan potentially returning rnd 2 or 3.
Moylan tentatively in rnd 5.. really though, who knows..
I think there is a good chance that Dugan goes to wing (takes Katoa's spot) and Kennedy keeps the fb position until Moylan returns.
Dugan played wing in Kennedy's debut last season.
I have no inside knowledge on this, it could go the other way... personally I doubt they'd put Dugan to FB with his ongoing knee problems....

Thoughts on these guys
A: Scott and Lomax
B: Aubbs and Watkins
Or a thumbs up/down

I'm kimda all about this. I mean, after having three knee recos myself, I feel for Birdy in a big way but fr a consumer perspective and surely from a business perspective he's gotta go? Came to us from the Sharks when he already had a pre-existing injury that they were aware of and has played what? 13ish games since. I'd be throwing that contract out the window.
Wouldn't be surprised if the poor guy Ben-Henry's his way to retirement.
Either that or he can Brent-Tate his way back into the NSW squad. Choice is up to him but I imagine he'll be in a pretty dark place right now, poor fella.

Yeah, I would be surprised if Dugan goes straight to FB once fit enough.
I'm surprised at how many people have him on the forum... I guess it's just the sheer lack of good cheapie options this season.

That is interesting. Always had Dugan pencilled in as a R3 return to the fullback position. Do you think that there is upside in going Kennedy > Aekins in your 13 and using the cash to bolster up somewhere else?

Well, there is an upside if Kennedy, 1) holds onto the fb position, and 2) scores more than Aekins... lol
Refer to my first line in the post you quoted

I think Moylan would be Kennedy's only real competition. Dugan would play wing IMO. Saying that there's a good chance that either one of SJ or Moylan will be injured at some stage, so could find himself playing a lot of games.

my guess would be something like this
Moylan
Katoa
Xerri
Ramien
Mulitalo
Dugan could slip in somewhere if he gets fit.
Can Kennedy play wing or is he fullback only? Don't think he gets a spot over other choices if they are all fit anyway

I know people are generally against it but holding back 154k could fix a couple of question mark selections with 1 trade after week 1

Anyone else going light in the centres? I'm thinking of Aubbs and Naden with Hampton as cover in the 18-21 until some clear cash cows appear. I'd rather be strong in other positions knowing the CTRs are a bit of a crapshoot.
Also, not much love for Luke Brooks as a HLF in here?
And if you want to join my personal league - code is 4L9K5XKV

Yeah, I get the impression the jersey is his to lose.

Hampton is playing on the wing and historically scores terribly there. You're better off taking a punt on Crichton or just using Wiliame like everyone else.

He didn't train at all last week, with Peta Hiku running in his place at the back, and only had his first field session on Monday.
But there were encouraging signs on Wednesday, as the 26-year-old was put through various drills.
"He had a couple of boxes he needed to tick and he ticked those," said coach Stephen Kearney. "He would've got through 80 per cent of it. If you'd asked me [at this time] last week, it would be a slim chance but he has progressed really well."
However, Kearney emphasised that they wouldn't be taking any chances with their most important asset.
"It's up to the medical team and obviously Roger [himself] is a good indicator," said Kearney. "If he didn't feel confident, he would have put his hand up and said he was no good. But also, if there is any risk, we are not taking it. It's round one."

Pookus McFly wrote:I’ve been playing around with my halves so much. I find that I just can’t trust anyone but the premiums.
The only ones I was considering:
-JMK, but will take a while to build fitness IMO
-Hughes but halves relying on attacking stats irk me
-Croft but no guarantee to dominate the kicking game
-Mann is cheap enough That he’s no risk to being value but a few missed tackles could easily leave you with a score in the teens
I just don’t have enough faith in any of these guys, going Cleary and Moses is a huge splurge in one position, but it’s the only position that I am against every other option. DCE would come into consideration too but I think he is slightly overpriced.
Anyone else sold on going double guns in the halves?
It means I need to run a basement centre and 4th reserve (Wiliame, Walters/Musgrove) rather than more solid options (with Mann I could run Burns + Hess/Carty), but I think it is worth it for the security.
I'm going mid range half's in Hugh's and Croft just because they have more chance of matching the guns compared to centres
