This was potential team listed based off players in reserve grade: Corey Allan, George Jennings, Euan Aitken, Tautau Moga, Bryson Goodwin, Jake Clifford, Sam Williams, Daniel Alvaro, Harry Grant, Sauaso Sue, Chris McQueen, Matt Eisenhuth, Billy Magoulias. Interchange: Mason Lino, David Gower, Stefano Utoikamanu, Jayson Bukuya
Besides Bryson Goodwin that back 5 is
I can't see clubs letting go of players like Magoulias, Clifford, Lino or Aitken who are first backups for their clubs pretty much.

School is still open cause who's supposed to look after all the kids for an indefinite period?

I know I'm in the minority, but I thought he added a bit last night. Would much rather see him come off the bench 10 minutes each side of HT at Hooker though (Fantasy aside).

If we all survive long enough, surely the kids don’t go back to school after the holidays! Has anybody even considered the ramifications of me having to spend every day with my kids? It’s inhumane!

It really doesn't make sense mate and just found an article where the guy is saying its not part of their plan:
https://politicshome.com/news/uk/health-and-care/illnesstreatments/news/110595/matt-hancock-insists-herd-immunity-not-part
"Matt Hancock has insisted that creating so-called "herd immunity" in the UK against coronavirus is not part of the Government's plan for tackling the killer illness."
Mr Hancock added: "Herd immunity is not a part of it. That is a scientific concept, not a goal or a strategy. Our goal is to protect life from this virus, our strategy is to protect the most vulnerable and protect the NHS through contain, delay, research and mitigate."
Here's a good read from one of the experts:
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/mar/15/epidemiologist-britain-herd-immunity-coronavirus-covid-19
"Policy should be directed at slowing the outbreak to a (more) manageable rate. What this looks like is strong social distancing. Anyone who can work from home, should. People who do not yet work from home should be encouraged to do so." - this is pretty much what the rest of the world is starting to do.
https://www.sciencemediacentre.org/expert-comments-about-herd-immunity/
"“Unfortunately, a very rough estimate suggests that we will only reach herd immunity to Covid-19 when approximately 60% of the population is immune (and remember that immunity is currently only reached by getting the infection as we have no vaccine!). The major downside is that this will mean that in the UK alone at least 36 million people will need to be infected and recover. It is almost impossible to predict what that will mean in terms of human costs but we are conservatively looking at 10,000s deaths, and possibly at 100,000s of death."
We will see mate, unfortunately I wouldn't trust our government to not consider the extra cost of human life versus trying to get the country back to normalilty quicker in terms of returning the economy back to its pre virus state

Gees, the Lack of a sense of humor of some of you people is far scarier than a mutant virus attacking our kids on a football field!filthridden wrote:
This is a terrible idea. Its basically "We'll do this and hopefully no one dies".
Too much of a chance of it ending with a death. "It will most likely be totally fine" is nowhere near good enough odds.
Also making up stats like "99% will have minor flu like symptoms" is not helpful.

Horsburgh - did he play on the edge? And did tapine play 80 at lock?
Did Yeo play 80 at lock too?
And Brailey and Walters - did they both play 80 at hooker?
And finally Friend - as far as we can tell is he splitting time with Verrils. I.e. he played 65 so Im presuming he came off for Verils?
Camo123 wrote:
Horsburgh & Tapine named at edge and lock but once game started Horsburgh played lock and Tapine edge which was better outcome for fantasy (i.e Ricky is a troll)
Yeo did play 80 but there were injuries to Tetevano & Kikau throughout game
Brailey I think also benefitted from injuries as Mulitalo got injured which meant Tracey come on at CTR but looked pretty comfortable playing 80. Walters played 80 at HOK (but a couple of sets was attacking at HLF to get a rest) but would have benefitted from Brooks' absence which meant JRey started (though Brooks could be out for 3-4 weeks)
Correct about Friend off at 65 mins for Verrills. Bit concerning, thought he would get a little bit longer

Yep, that's the sad thing. Weighing up cost in the economy vs human cost

That Aussie Warriors idea is completely unworkable, as well as a virus petri-dish. They should just make all the Warriors games byes if they drop out, who cares if there are 7 or 8 games per weekend?
For fantasy, I'd suggest they take all Warriors players out of the game and you to drag in replacements with whatever bank you have without costing a trade, although I'd expect them to do nothing.

All the digs at us "more mature" posters on here over the years are stinging a little less tonight.
As a Fanatic in his Forties, with the crotch spawn having left the fold, I can safely say I welcome a 14 day self imposed exile playing X Box with no pants on and not having to worry about going to work with a hangover after drinking on consecutive school nights.

Whichever teams only play Warriors once on fixture list would have slight premium in that situation, not that there's any chance of a 24-game season in reality.

Might have been posted here already, but Greenberg said today that the CBA has the provision to cut salaries if revenues go down. I wonder what percentage of the players in the league can handle a substantial cut in their pay.
