That’s a much bigger rescue package there than here. Just $500ish per week per person in nz regardless of what you earn.

Which is still much better than join the really, really long dole line or dip into your own superannuation here.

India locking down their entire country in the space of a few hours is quite amazing. 1.3 billion people.

Whereas in Australia we are only locking down non-essential work, but everyone with a job is considered essential.

We have different messages coming from states and federal leaders, and its changing every day.

Its very hard to work out exactly what is expected of people

if you are over 60 and about to retire/lose your job, you may as well take super out now, as having the cash will be more secure.

    Otherwise its trouble

I don't think it's a good idea to pull out at the bottom of the market or close to. Dow Jones rallied today and is up nearly 12% on news of possible vaccine and lockdown ending in China

My Super has gone down 10% in the last month, feel for people about to retire.

I am working from home today, am government affiliated so we will still have to go into the office majority of the time until government says no.

India with its living conditions, sanitation, hospitals (outside the rich neighbourhoods) and simple weight of size and numbers is in huge trouble with or without a lockdown.

    It's pretty straight forward.

    Wife is laid off
    Son is home schooling
    I work from home
We interact for groceries, medicine and bottle shop
    Take a drive

I downloaded Rugby League Live 4 on XBox, but I have to pay extra if I want to play online with you guys?
    What a rip

But if there are people that want to play against me i'm happy to try and set up a time

I got beaten by the Broncos U20s in my first match on rookie mode (Pat Carrigan got a try), so I'm obviously ripe for the plucking

I'm on-site IT engineer for government agency via IT solutions company and I'm self employed contractor to that company but seems like they want to keep us as essential support which means going to near empty office and sitting there pretty much which would be great as I thought I'd be out of work indefinitely. Find out tomorrow morning but already talk of getting official letter to show if stopped in transit

Apparently in Australia you can still get a hair cut, according to the news in nz. Someone is dropping the ball there.
