Newcastle 24 (D. Buderus 2, G. Carmont, M. Thaiday tries; A. Johns 4 goals) defeated South Sydney 18 (D. Fa'alogo, J. Galuvao, A. MacDougall tries; N. Merritt 3 goals)

Andrew Johns comes back from injury and Newcastle goes from 50 point flogging to winners. They really are a 1 man team (sorry Bedsy, i'm sure your 93 points played a part too)

Brian Carney 3 shit scores in a row. Who holds the faith? (well everyone who has him for round 8 holds the faith for round 9 at least, because that's how this comp works)

Carney always has great yards gained but always shitting his non try games with big error counts

Anyone who knows about Carney should know about his only year in NRL

7 players so far, 4 above 40 (41-93) and 3 at 10 and under, even after leaving Tupou in the NPRs. What a roller coaster.

I was hoping Purtell would score better in the centres. I was wrong. Benched Boyd for him too.

Michael Greenfield. I was tossing off I mean up between him and Jez Smith at similar prices and BE's but went with the name (and Eel) I knew. I think Code Delta went for Greenfield? Man, what a miss, especially as I need two FRFs next week. Who scores 62 with no tries?? He does.

As am I, can't find Green Machine's trades to see if he kept him or not too.

Looking through my team Scott looks like he's peaked and with origin around the corner it might be a perfect time to offload him. Also in hindsight Thaiday looks like a poor buy, some quick cash but no real benefit.

Yep, brought Greenfield in but didn't play him in my 17. Someone finally making good money though.

I remember Greenfield playing. He was made for fantasy scoring.
Unfortunately, he was more injury prone than Dugan ! From memory he played about 30 to 40 games in probably a 10 year career !

Think I need to take a gamble on Inglis. Depending on what team lists look like I could grab a bottomed out keeper and bank some cash

Sad news, the people's champion Troy Thompson is out of Mr Consistency scoring 36. Tongue, Hodges & A. Johns survive with Hindmarsh, C. Smith & Kennedy still to play. I think with only guns remaining I might raise the floor up to 45 points from 40 points just to make it a bit tougher.

Glad I sold Amos Roberts after only owning for 1 week. I only sold him because I wouldn't of had 17 players next round with the Origin players & the Roosters, Broncos, Cowboys & Dragons having the bye.
