Since you are so far in front of me I thought I might try to learn something from a better player !

You are selling Gidley (6 tries in 7 games) and getting Covell ( 1 try in 7 games). I know Gidley had a bad week and lost some money last week but he looks like a keeper to me, so his value shouldn't matter once he is in your team !

Can I get an insight into the thought process for this move ?

    thanks

Matt has an average of 42 and a B/E of 51 and Cooper is 36 and 46 they are both going to start losing money. Cooper has lost a shitload already. I have really wanted to get Sutton for the last 3 weeks but have not been able to fund it, He's scoring like a madman and still has a low enough B/E to make some cash.

The Gidley trade funded Sutton and it was a toss up between Micheal Gordon and Covell. I chose Covell because he kicks goals and, at this stage, him and Sutton are a POD. I'm also trying to cash up some Middies into Guns and Cows.

I hope this helps, I wouldn't call myself better, I just got lucky with my guesses in the first few rounds.

It’s not my team so can’t comment for his thought process but I’d imagine it’s based on stock market musings selling high and buying low.

NSW won the 2005 series handsomely - their 3rd series victory in a row. What a great dynasty, might go on for ages. Can't see QLD hitting anything like that any time soon.

Danny Nutley was Ben Hannant Aiden Tolman Shane Tronc before Shane Tronc. True work horse front rower that didn't shy away from the tough stuff

As someone that just managed to get rid of Covell, I would be very hesitant to trade him in

Thanks for this info. It's great getting to see who the incumbents were.
I was all set to trade in Cam Smith (actually meant to do that last week), but figure now's probably not the best time to trade in incumbent SOO players.

This thing gets more complicated when you're picking between the shit, the shitter, or the shittest for your three NPR alongside the guy who has a bye. With my two trades this week (goodbye Soward and Hannant) I actually have no injured players (for one round anyway) and only one Tiger and one Warrior, so I have to make three decisions each round about my NPR. Beats the balls out of playing with 16 half the time, or at least four non playing reserves though!

    Trades for this week:
Alan Tongue in for Matt Sing
Gavin Cooper in for Hazem El Masri

    Team List:
    Karmichael Hunt
    Steve Turner
    Reece Simmonds
    Greg Inglis
    Gavin Cooper
    Johnathan Thurston
    Andrew Johns
    Sonny Bill Williams
    Alan Tongue
    Steve Menzies
    Luke Douglas
    Matthew Scott
    Cameron Smith
    Sam Thaiday
    Evarn Tuimavave
    Riley Brown
    Brett Kearney
    Craig Stapleton
    Ben Jones
    Bryce Gibbs
    Shane Shackleton

    Edited with some explanation.

Tongue in over high peers mainly due to not being an origin player. His high ownership makes me realise how much I had missed having him.

Unfortunately couldn't afford Tongue and Hodges as I had originally planned so bring in Cooper to fill my now empty Centre position.

El Masri and Sing are both primed to lose more bulk cash in the coming weeks and Sing being also a likely origin player gives me some more flexibility in that regard.

    Trades
    Jacob Lillyman out
    Ben Hannant out

    David Faalogo in
    Vince Mellars in

The end of Hannant, can't be his year to be a fantasy gun in 2006, been searching for guys around same price. 40 average over last 3 games for Faalogo, no tries, no Rabbits, priced at 32 he comes in. Finally getting rid of Lillyman and wanted someone base to keep building some cash so hopefully Mellars can make some cash quick and hang around for a few rounds.

Was going to bring in Carney but he has a fairly high BE so will wait on him. only scored 3 so far and I know how he goes in his only NRL season Very Happy
