Re: R4 trade discussion
There are a LOT of potential trade ins this week - who do we prioritise
I think we move Walters and Williams on this week, which would give us $918k for 2 players.
If we want a top line gun will need to lose someone else (Blayke Brailey?, maybe Luai)
In any even we must be careful about who comes in, so make your cases here

Re: R4 trade discussion
Pending team lists, going Williams and Walters to Crichton and Crichton is an option I like. Cut price keeper and cash cow flavour of the week
EDIT: About 100k short of this

Re: R4 trade discussion
With Walters and Williams out could go Fotuaika and Crichton. Or get Best and another cheapie in to bank some cash to bring in Cleary next round.

Can't really see a path to any viable keeper without making >2 trades. At this early stage I'd say just get two best cows and hold some cash in reserve for next week.

Never to late. Didn't even notice we didn't have him. I think he's pretty much must have.

Re: R4 trade discussion
I think Katoa is definitely one cow option, assuming we're collectively confident he keeps his role (personally, I am). I think worst case he's a 40ppg player and makes 200k from here if you time the tradeout right. That's enough to warrant the 2 trades in and out IMO. Best case, he might even be good enough to be at the back end of your top 17/18 for most/all of the season. It's a short season, realistically there's going to be some sub-gun players in even the best teams all year.
Other obvious cows are Best, S Crichton. Either would help with positional cover.

Re: R4 trade discussion
Yeo is must have this week or never. Looking like he will be a gun all season, averaging 60+ for $732k with a BE of just 11. Would be the best value gun at the moment.

Re: R4 trade discussion
Depending on TLT, i think it might be worth
Brailey+Walters+Williams out
bring in Katoa + $980k for Gun + cheapie
The most expensive gun is Alex Twal, who would have to be paired with Averillo (or $212k player)
So we might be better of going with someone like Mofo or Trbo and then see what else is available.
Not sure its worth trading anyone else out - they're either too cheap to get a decent upgrade for, or scoring well enough that any trade would be sideways.
With Turpin reportedly injured, if that is for any length of time Cory Paix would be the cheapie to get.

I like Katoa + Turbo + cheapie

Re: R4 trade discussion
I think Williams out and Katoa in is a good move.
Lets assume we want to keep Taumalolo (at this stage it looks like 1-2 weeks out and a hold)
Then of the guns listed we can afford one of them, unless we ditch another expensive player to get them, which would probably be a bit sideways
So right now the most useufl thing to do is make yiour case for which gun we get
Twal
Yeo
Mofo
Teddy
Ponga
Turbo
Seem to be the main suggestions
Crighton, maybe Clune or Clark are some cheap enablers.

I think someone like Mofo or Arrow should be the move. The Titans lineup looks like big minutes for those two. Crichton looks like one of the best cheapies available, expect him to score more once Cleary returns.

Williams to Katoa I like. As for which gun, think that'll be our poll.

Re: R4 trade discussion
$180k less for Mofo over Arrow for likely similar minutes and output. Agree on Crichton, great finishing wing outside him in Mansour. Hitting high 40s without any try assists or tries. Has shown in the first 2 rounds he will get both of them on a regular basis.rhino wrote:

Re: R4 trade discussion
Is anyone in favour of any trade outs other than what's been suggested (Williams, bailey, Walters)
And is anyone in favour of keeping any of those 3?
Will probably put a poll up on Lolo, in case there is majority support for ditching him short term

Re: R4 trade discussion
I'd prefer to keep Brailey since he still has cash in him. Preferred option is 2 trades of Williams and Walters, grabbing Turbo and Crichton, but group seems to want another
EDIT: I should really do maths before posting. About 60k short of this
