Depends what your centres look like. I consider Capewell a centre keeper, but if you already own two higher tier playable guys you can probably go without.

I don't hate the trade in isolation because Capewell is still under priced

    50-ish, low 50s, higher?

I'm almost sold on him but I also think a lot of FRFs are going 50+ this year with the new rules, so 50ppg might not be top 10 in the position.

Where do people think he fits in the mix?

Enough to be FrF depth behind Haas and Twal/Taupau/Klemmer and then a bit of a drop to Carrigan and a few others. To be honest im probably not going to chase any of those FrFs as i think they dont represent value for money. I rate the value in other positions a bit higher.

Haas, Carrigan (MoFO) should be decent enough, if i can make up a few extra points in other positions. Average wise, ill accept 50+ from MoFo, even if he doesnt hit 50 ill probably keep him as backup for the FrF position although id look to have him outside my 17 in that case.

Totally agree with this. If you started with any mid rangers I would ride them until the wheels come off. If you didn't I would be avoiding

My concern with lolo is that they rest him for a few weeks and play it safe. He is a player they have signed for what, 7 more years? It's annoying that bone bruising doesn't really have a set length of time. Although looking at previous injuries 2-3 weeks seems the norm, and Lolo seems to heal remarkably well. They have sharks, warriors, tigers, knights, eels.

I have Cows down for a win against the sharks, warriors, and maybe tigers. They'd want him in good form for the eels game since that is a true litmus test. A return for the tigers does seem quite realistic. What do you guys think?

Might make Mann worthwhile on the bench. I'm currently running Grant, JTB, Rudolf and Carrigan.

Looking at my current side, ill plan for my finished team to look something like:

    Cook/McInnes (Koro)

    Haas, Carrigan (MoFo)

    Lolo/D.Fifita, Yeo, Murray (Katoa/Leilua)

    Moses, Cleary (Drinkwater/Mann)

    Capewell, someone decent (Wiliame)

    Teddy, Turbo, Ponga (Papi)

Bold signifies who i am planning to bring in.

That means ideally i have 5 upgrades to go and hopefully keep other trades for injuries

I'd play Mann over both JTB and Rudolf pretty comfortably

Cheers for this, kinda where I'm going too.

Ideally down the track I have Haas as starting FRF, Carrigan I see as backup (both FRF and 2RF), so is MoFo a worthy #2 FRF?

His low price might mean its worth not getting someone like Twal or Taupau later because of what it enables in other positions. At the same time, he has to score enough to be in the mix - I don't want him as a stepping stone to someone else, he has to do enough to be the someone for me.

I'm also a bit paranoid that he plays Sunday but my trade out is Thursday - worried in temperature check times about 72 hours locked in before playing.

I get the argument that maybe Murray does play lock and then move to the edge.

My take on it though is that he's an absolute beast and he'll make it pretty clear in his performance that it's a whole lot better for Souths if he stays there. I'm backing him to do that.

Pretty instantly I, like many others, thought damn he can be a beast with these new rules (he already was) so I'm backing that instinct.

Certainly not the biggest risk I've taken in my fantasy years haha.

With the season shortened to 20 rounds and Cowboys 2-1, I think Taumalolo and everyone at the Cows will be keen to get him back next week or the following tops.

Every game is more valuable and they'd fancy themselves making a run at it with some of their recent signings looking good.

Even an 80%, 46 min Taumalolo is a beast in real life and fantasy if it comes to that for a week or two.

NRL.com on desktop has moved the add player "plus" button from the right to the left, means if you're not in a full-sized window (i.e. work meetings at the same time(I don't have to scroll way across past all the stats. Good stuff!

P.S. This means I've put in MoFo, still have two trades left. Must. Show. Restraint.

Punting Lolo now means Ponga or Murray + Cleary next week.

Holding him means the only semi-gun player I can grab is Mofo and I already have Twal. I think I need to punt Lolo just for that reason

If Brailey gives you 40 odd, you'd think yeah that's about right.

if Rudolf gives you 40 odd, you'd feel pretty happy with what you got.

Shiba and Lomax. Lomax would move to the back and put Drinkwater on the bench. Centres then would be Capewell and Crichton. I'm not convinced yet it's necessary.
