I’m close to sold mate re Ponga, you and Welshy are selling itMulvy wrote:I guess timing is part of it, but if you bring in Teddy or Ponga, you're buying their average for the year, not just a run of fixtures.

I wouldn’t be bringing Ponga in, but happy that I already have him.Rabbits21 wrote:Anyone concerned re Ponga’s scoring the next 6 weeks just looking at the Knights run they have Raiders, Storm Broncos, Cows and Manly and then Parra like sheesh that’s a bloody tough run of games.

Don’t worry too much about fixtures, just buy the player! Everyone’s worse fear is trading someone in and then going shit the next round, or their trade out outscoring them! Jut got to play the long gameRabbits21 wrote:

Everyone was pulling Ponga as the No.1 player to make the most of the new rules, now some doubting!

I’m probably going to stay with Clark, but why are so many people looking at Paix?

Tohu probably plays lock until Tevaga back but then reverts to second row. Potential gun in either event.
Frizz is a very solid pick with no Origin imo. Maybe his new coach will use him better too.

I'm one of those, just seeing better more consistent scoring from the value big scoring forwards at the moment, will pick up WFBs when they have an inevitable dip for a couple of weeks.Welshy wrote:

Some players are just fixture proof. Brilliant and would be top 3 WFB over time with any draw
I know part of the challenge is getting them at the right time, but kidding If you don’t think Ponga could put up a ton against the Eels, for want of an example. What Reed Mahoney and fat Paulo just too air tight in the middle... please
Footnote: Non-Ponga owner

job security more set in stone for the time being, Turpin out for 4-6 weeks and he's the only hooker on the books... For all we know Clark could dud it up and be replaced by more experienced options within the fortnight.

That has to come into to, sure you mentioned Ponga as definitely coming into your side last week. I would probably go conservative if I didn’t have him. Tedesco is a different Kettle of fish mind.mattnz wrote:

Another thing to look at is current run of scores vs perceived average. You are only interested in what that player is scoring from R4 to end of season

So Bateman out indefinitely. Congrats if you went Horse early. Tevaga also out with more issues. I was hoping to go Lucy to one of these guys soon!

Ah, I see. Thanks. I thought Turpin was still a chance for this or next week. Is 4-6 Officially announced?surmo13 wrote:

Yea realistically only going to get them 30-80k cheaper not sure it’s worth waiting on them to drop when they can bust an 80 any weekGreenMachine wrote:Some players are just fixture proof. Brilliant and would be top 3 WFB over time with any draw

@rabbits21 thanks for your reply in the previous thread.
Have made my decision. If paix is named with no deardon tomorrow I'll go Musgrave for paix and hold 3 trades.
Who is everyone going as captain? I'm going haas with no lolo now.

Round 1 cows were few and far between. I tried to manufacture some, getting bench players with the expectation they would end up with bigger roles. For most of them that has actually happened fortunately.Mulvy wrote:

That’s if Tevaga comes back this season. As soon as it looks like he’s turning the corner poor Jazz picks up another injury. You gotta feel for the bloke.rhinoceroo wrote:

No worries mate anytime. Yeah I saw that too Dearden in the 20 jersey. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a sneaky late inclusion.Dttragic2016 wrote:@rabbits21 thanks for your reply in the previous thread.

What position does this Tesi Niu play? Is he a centre/winger? I thought I heard he is. If that’s the case you’d think Paix plays 80mins.
But if Dearden is a late inclusion then maybe he takes 25mins off Paix?
I’m assuming @my tv broke is best equipped to answer this being a Broncos fan.
