Rectal temperatures are probably the most accurate. Under the arm is usually lower. I tested my temp at home (not rectal) under the arm and was 38.8 I went to the COVID clinic at Westmead Hospital. They used those new ray gun type thermometers and was 37. Went home and was 38.8 I have zero faith in those fancy thermometers. No wonder those 3 guys got retested with a Roosters branded thermometer.WT Winfield wrote:

No such thing as a normal temperature (as compared to a blood pressure or pulse). Temperatures fluctuate all the time. You will get a different temp with a different thermometer.Ozymandias wrote:

Yeah my understanding is that the temp guns have a lower accuracy in general.
