What's everyones thoughts on Horsey? Thinking of going Brailey to Horse this week since I have 130k spare. Bit of confusion around his mins tho - has played 60 in 2 and 50 in 2 and when he plays 50 he hasnt got over 50. What does everyone expect out of him minutes wise with Bateman out for an extended amount of time? Would he be the best option to upgrade Brailey with a spare 130k? Anything helps

Potentially with Bateman returning early before the second surgery Sticky was giving Horse his prop minutes With a fit Bateman in side, since the second surgery Horse making switch to Lock long term and upping his minutes. Just spitballing thoughKingTeddy wrote:What's everyones thoughts on Horsey? Thinking of going Brailey to Horse this week since I have 130k spare. I think he’s gonna be the best one to bring in around that 600k mark. I don’t see how he averages any less than 50 at worst. I’m looking at this exact trade too. The DPP makes him even more tempting.KingTeddy wrote:What's everyones thoughts on Horsey? Thinking of going Brailey to Horse this week since I have 130k spare. Not if he can’t maintain those larger minutes.Rabbits21 wrote:

I would love to get on the Horse party but I have too many forwards already (even before I've got Lolo back) and too many more important trades to do.
My plan for the next 2 weeks is:
Rd5: BBrailey + Drinkwater -> Cleary + Best
Rd6: JHopoate + Lomax -> Taumalolo + some cheapie, ideally Clark since Turps will be close to returning by then

Also, I'm absolutely frothing over a couple matchups, and will probably have to give one up unless I'm willing to give up Cleary for at least a week, if not longer.
Best vs Storm - As a Storm fan, this one pains me to write, but at first glance it seems like a tough matchup. Taking a closer look though, Best will be running at Brenko Lee (or Seve if he gets his spot back), both of whom are pretty poor defenders. In addition to that, he's got Ponga feeding him good ball on Ponga's preferred left side, and outside Brenko Lee is one of the dumbest defensive wingers of all time, Suli Vunivalu, who loves to shoot up off his line and leak tries. I think Best is a must-have, with a massive negative BE and a good matchup.
Turbo vs Broncos - I've got my supercoach goggles on for this one, and sadly will probably have to let this one go unless I decide to hold off Cleary, but I can smell blood on this one. We saw on Thursday that the Broncos are a rabble, and I have no reason to believe they will be any better this coming Thursday. Brett Morris tore them to shreds, and Teddy likely would have scored more than Ponga did this week, they were that bad. Also, Turbo is the focal point of the Manly attack, and I can see him racking up a massive score.
With all this said, if Lolo is out another week, then I think I'll hold off on Cleary, get Best and Turbo this week and buy Cleary next week, that way Lolo won't get too far away from me while I load up on other guns

I think my trades this week will depend on Luai. If he is red dot, then I think I'll trade him to Best and Levi to Horse. If not I think Levi and Paps to Teddy and a cheepy
Thumbs up/down thread here I come!

I thought if player A passed the ball and player B receives the ball closer to the try line then it’s forward?

Matchups, I pretty much never look at them, don't get it, nothing to do with how a player will fair. Makes for a time passer, but is no rule of thumb.

978 all out. Would be 1037 if had got Best instead of Crichton last week( which I did thumb up/down question on here so was tough decision).
I think I wouldn't have had the money to make easy trades and may have ended up selling Horse so swings and roundabouts

Time travel is probably the key factor I have been missing while trying to figure this out.
Thank you sir

I sort of agree and disagree with the matchups
I think Turbo is going to absolutely annihilate Broncos but it doesn't make him a must buy just because of that one fixture. A lot of us (myself included) went for Crichton over Best because Knights have/had Raiders & Storm as next fixtures and look how that ended up

As always talk is cheap but some fairly honest stuff from Lodge in this video chat

"across the board some people just aren’t as good as what they think"

I went with Crichton because he was cheaper and allowed other things to happen next week.
Bit annoyed but I don’t think there were many scenarios where I was grabbing Best

Next week if Crichton goes OFF and Best goes average still doesn’t make it a good bad trade off. Plays on average at end of year or timing for upgrade etc some times all comes down to luck
Made this point earlier in threads
Ponga has gone off to start season. Average of 74. Was just a luck call over say Tedesco for first rounds of season. Big call now for anyone without both on who to get in. Both prices will be similar. For me it would be an easy Tedesco call. But others will see the 74 average over 58 and get Ponga
way I look at it, Tedesco going unders on his usual average. Ponga going 20 points over his best ever season, even if Ponga surpasses Tedesco as no 1 WFB in fantasy he’s going to still drop a load of dud scores to bring his average down to a more reasonable average. Those who started with Ponga have just gotten 3 of his above average scores to start season (luck)
