Dragons winger Jordan Pereira and Eels lock Nathan Brown are each facing a suspension after being charged for high tackle offences.
Pereira could be out for three games for a hit on Corey Thompson in the 23rd minute of St George Illawarra’s win at Suncorp Stadium. He can reduce the ban to two weeks with an early guilty plea.
Brown faces a fortnight on the sidelines irrespective of an early guilty plea unless he can prove his innocence over a 64th-minute tackle on Roosters lock Victor Radley in Saturday night’s loss by Parramatta at Bankwest Stadium.
Radley faces a fine for a high shot of his own on Eels skipper Clint Gutherson.
Tigers trio Harry Grant, Josh Aloiai and Sam McIntyre will avoid suspensions after being charged with grade-one offences in their team’s win over North Queensland.
Warriors hooker Wayde Egan is facing one or two weeks on the sidelines over an incident involving Rabbitohs star Latrell Mitchell.
Egan was charged with a grade two contrary conduct charge, and is facing a one-match ban if he enters an early guilty plea or faces two matches on the sidelines if he challenges the ban unsuccessfully at the judiciary.
Panthers five-eighth Jarome Luai can avoid a ban if he enters an early guilty plea for a dangerous contact - head/neck charge resulting from a tackle on Melbourne's Felise Kaufusi.
Broncos forwards Patrick Carrigan and Tom Flegler are each facing a suspension after being charged over incidents in Thursday night's loss to Newcastle in Gosford.
Carrigan is facing a two-match ban over a grade-two conduct charge for his late hit on Knights halfback Mitchell Pearce in the 59th minute. He can reduce the ban to one game if he enters an early guilty plea.
The hit led to a minor scuffle between the teams as Newcastle teammates took exception to Carrigan's actions.
Flegler will also be banned one match even if he enters an early guilty plea unless he can prove his innocence over a 43rd-minute incident involving Newcastle forward Sione Mata'utia.

Would love Brailey to have a wholly unexpected Monster today to kick off a couple more weeks $ Rises (he’s sitting in 19 for me which is sort of outrageous given his price) . Looks like that price bump he got to start the year has been largely unjustified.

Tohu Harris is on a great streak of form with only 1% ownership.
Arrow and Murray aren't putting up huge 60+ scores but can give you a safe 50 most weeks for cheaper.
Daniel Saifiti has quietly put up scores of 71, 51 and 60 without a try in the past month.
Ooh yep got Dsaifiti off the free agency list on draft so will definitely look into him further. Thanks mate! Will be exciting to finally trade a couple of players in I want rather than just putting out fires (basically fixing the CTR position).

Yeah Herbie looks like a good cash-out. The only other cheapie that has got my attention is Dunn. Both not ideal, but I need some extra cash to make some upgradesmultiple.scoregasms wrote:Luai has peaked now, tentative plan is Luai>Herbie next week and see what I can do with the cash.
Mann to DCE will be might tempting as second trade

Not sure if Coates or Herbie are better cashouts but one of them will probably turn out good. My plan is Paix to one of them and either Papy or Lucy to Flanno Jr for the other one

Luai could be worthwhile holding one more week. He could score a try against Souths next week too, you never know.
Coates or Herbie are very risky cash cow options. After already having had a number of dud cows I don’t want another.

Absolutely agree, plus they play for the Broncos, and who knows what's happening in Seib's brain.
That said, without Carrigan and JHopo stinking up my 18-21 I really need 2nd Row cover, so Herbie may be my ticket to picking up Horse.
Yes, I am aware that the money making ship on the Horse has stalled, but with DPP and seeming to have good JS, he's the best I can think of.

I'm loathe to trade out healthy/named/non-suspended players at this stage cuz well, you know, just in case

Anyone guess on the chances JHopo has of jagging a place on the Broncos bench?? Yes, he's an edge forward, and Carrigan and Fleg are middles, but with their injuries and suspensions, what do you think, Siebs gives him a reprieve. (Wishful thinking...)

Who would you say is less risky in the cow category?

I assume Hoppa will come in, whether he starts or will be on the bench is anyone's guess.

With AFL having a game suspended due to COVID we get a chance to see what might happen in NRL if it happens here
Supercoach is doing best 18 scorers (normally it 22 in a round) which is a strategy they've employed in the past for bye rounds. I guess the equivalent here would be only scoring 13 rather than 17 players.
Official Fantasy (Fanhub) is giving players their average (for all 22 players named at lockout, so I assume the equivalent would be scoring 19 or 21 players in NRL). Players who haven't played yet get 80% of their 2019 average (AFL currently playing shortened quarters) No price rises for these players and the made-up score won't count for future price changes.
If John Bateman happened to get named for his first game the same week Canberra have a COVID scare he'd probably be a decent trade in option.
I'm not sure what will happen when the game is eventually replayed, but I assume the only fair thing to do would be ignore it
Personally I think giving people a score for doing nothing is a terrible decision, and I hope they don't do it in NRL. I mean, people are upset Mitchell is getting TA points when he was on the field throwing passes. Giving him TA points when he is chilling at home is a fair bit worse.

My guess at our pack this week:
Haas
Luke
Lodge
Glenn
Hoppa
TPJ
Paix
Ofa
Kennedy
Te'o
Other scenario is Ofa starting at lock, TPJ edge, Hoppa bench, but that leaves our bench quite weak.

There isn’t really any safer options I’m seeing right now.FaringdonSwirl wrote:

May just have to hope more come the week after or the week after that.

This is exactly what I brought up. I don’t mind the TA plenty of them given but zero TS awarded for tackles before the line, only when previously held up in goal! It’s non contestable. Easy to remove that because it’s never been awarded before. The TA is a whole new cans of wormHoney Badger wrote:
I actually thought the try save was the big one they got wrong. Normally a TS is over the line. I think back to Tommy T tackle on Coates, and papi on Ponga. Those were two try saving tackles close to the line but not given as TS because they didnt happen over the line

The issue is if you have someone who has no players who were involved in a cancelled game and another player has say 4 players from that side then that player is gonna be greatly upset and they will put complaints in, I have no doubts about that. Then the ones in power may be pressured into doing something like what the AFL are doing with their SuperCoach.Milchcow wrote:

Rough couple of weeks to have no cash ITB with your cows all stalling, but I guess a lot of others are in the same position.

-1 BE means even a 30 would mean $35k price bump.
