Yeah I think I'd lean to Katoa out over Carrigan, justify it in my head due to it being a possible injury, uncertain minutes and fluctuating scores.... but by all means rather him stay in my team. The way I play the game, there's no way I'm playing 15 or 16 that's for sure. Blaze of glory or nothing !

If Katoa and Carrigan were playing this week I'd save 2 trades, 100%. Absolutely no necessary cows on the pasture.

I have Macca, worthy 17 player in this year's climate imo.

With Carrigan and Flegler suspended he will probably be pushed out to 80 mins again.

Our bench is going to be awfully light, will be Paix/Luke, Kennedy, Teo, Bullemor/Oates/Hoppa

He will probably get given a big rest when we are down 30 nil though.

Agree re Niu, a worry being thrown in.

If I owned Haas I would be captaining him over Cook/Taumalolo

Agree cant see myself playing less than 17. Katoa is also cash generation dented and not someone I want in final 17. He hasnt actually scored that well without his tries but has done the job needed at start of fantasy season.

Carrigan is a good #17 especially with DPP but I think his cash gets me to Matto which is tempting and a regular 10pt jump on the field, but then a Katoa upgrade would be 2-3 weeks away

There's simply no way a rookie starts when you've got players like ET and Huth that can come straight in.

The fact that Averillo kicks goals isn't that relevant. Its the rest of the points he scores that make him useful.

Reuben Garrick also kicks goals but nobody is suggesting you trade him in.

Just confirming, chaps, there's no actual word that Katoa will miss this week, is there? Seemed to be unconfirmed a few pages back but some unsettling language in recent posts.

I'm possibly looking at a trade-free week if he can take the field. Maybe punt Luai for a decent cow option if one shows up to free up some cash...

Cook, McInnes and Taumalolo are all viable captaincy alternatives. I wouldn't be risking anyone else.

No official word. Just guesswork here on the basis that he was injured during the game. He played out the match so he's probably alright. People are just being cautious, especially if his absence would leave them without 3 second rowers to play this week.
