I'm not even going to bother thinking about final 17
I've had to sell 3 keepers in the past 2 weeks due to injury (Capewell, Twal & Turbo) so I'm just going to keep trading until I run out

Bethany_B wrote:How many players have you all got that will likely be part of your final 17? I've been looking at my team to figure this out for me, and I have the following spots done. A * denotes a player that I will sell if I have a spare trade to do it but otherwise will keep to the end.
HOK: Koroisau
FRF: Haas, Fotuaika
2RF: Yeo, Arrow*
HLF: Croft*, Flanagan
CTR: Lomax, Crichton*
WFB: Ponga, Teddy
INT: Grant, Carrigan* Katoa*
EMG: Mann*, Wiliame*, Averillo*
Basically, I only really need to use trades on the following spots.
3rd 2RF: Lolo most likely, but if I can't afford him then Matterson or Fifita will be the guy I go for
3rd WFB: With Turbo going down that rules him out for this spot, it'll probably just be a rotation of the cheapies I have, especially if Wiliame stays as a red dot. If I can get a WFB on the rise like To'o was last year, then that's who goes here.
HOK: I do intend on keeping Koro and Grant to the end if they both stay fit and firing, but I will need one more, and CS9 is probably the one I want. Odds are I can get only one of CS9/Cook/Mcinnes.
EMG: I'll be looking at a FRF or 2RF cashout option for one of the EMG spots, probably 2RF if I either hold Carrigan or sell him to an FRF (potentially Taupau if he gets cheap enough)

Looking at:
Kennedy > Ponga
Rudolf > Greg L
$0 remaining
Greg L may or may not hold his spot, but the other centers and wings are all journeymen, shouldn't be that hard to displace if he plays as well as he is capable of. Tackle busting machine, so scores should be great if he does hold his spot, and hopefully a lack of JS scares others off. Its the kind of move I am willing to make to try to jump ranks, now that a key POD in Twal is out.
Trading out Rudolf maybe 2-3 weeks early, but gets Ponga in and have Kerr fulfilling that same role in my reserves, who hopefully gets more minutes with Graham gone.

I did a similar analysis a few weeks ago and have since lost Capewell and Turbo. I'm not tempting fate with calling anyone a keeper
Its more the guy getting the Lawrie role that should benefit Kerr. Kerr played 25 minutes a couple of weeks ago, should get back to normal with someone like Jackson Ford coming in with limited minutesStormTrooper96 wrote:
Grahams replacement (Probably someone like Blake Lawrie) will just walk straight into his minutes role anyways... They aren't going to replace him with a back.. Itll just be a straight swap
At least Tevaga or Fifita are a straight single trade swap when available and we can see the role they have, can hold a week or 2 to assess.Camo123 wrote:
I was originally thinking of keeping him but there will be underpriced FRFs available soon (Taupau), Tevaga will be fit soon also for 2RF who is underpriced based on starting lock average last year
filthridden wrote:I love Tevaga and he's definitely under priced but it would be a bold coach who trades him in this year given his injury history. You'd want to make sure you had good cover or a couple of spare trades just for him.

Turbo > Ponga
Luai > Niu
8K leftover....
I think this is where I have to go otherwise HTF/Farnworth are my last WFB
Niu can go into CTR for Crichton. I am more confident Niu at FB vs Titans can outscore Crichton at Ctr vs Souths.
