I thought about Cherrington yesterday after the Farah news, but went McInness.

Haha, yeah I know.  Was just sharing the thought process.  Was for all money going to pick Cherrington, but my research told me not to.  Rate him as a player, just maybe not Fantasy yet.  Should rack up decent numbers Rd 1, but Halatau will spoil the party after that.

    League 1 - Round 1

Medical Ward (Random) vs Brisbane Broncos (Bren)

Round 1 kicks off with a highly anticipated match up with both Grand Finalists coming up against each other to start the competition. Something even the NRL couldn't get right. How will Bren's team roll out, with question marks over how his side will handle Round 1 with potentially missing Brett Morris as well as the  twins in big George and Tom Burgess. Depth will be tested early but with a stacked trio of Daly Cherry-Evans, Simon Mannering, and Trent Merrin leading the charge they will attempt to knock off Try-Scoring dynamo Semi Radradra and the tackle breaking machine Andrew Fifita.

Almost Arrogance (Milchcow) vs Sauce Reed (Sauce Reed)

They started 1 & 2 in the draft and now face off in the opening round. The match up has perhaps some of the biggest fantasy names in what are star studded line ups with C. Parker, A. Woods, and A. McCullough, for Almost Arrogance facing C. Smith, J. Tedesco and J. Graham for Sauce Reed. With only the looming question around J. Grahams potential injury both teams look to be fully fit for Round 1.

    Quicksand (Quicksand) vs B/L (B/L)

Team Quicksand already behind the 8-ball as Round 1 kicks off (and we don't mean the good kind folks) as he faces of against the impressive line up of team B/L that includes Sam Burgess, Shaun Fensom, Greg Inglis, and James Segeyaro. While Quicksand will rely on Paul Gallen, Shaun Johnson, and Cooper Cronk to carry his team as they carry the injuries of Robbie Farah, Matt Ballin, Matthew Moylan, and Boyd Cordner. (Oh Quicksand, if I missed any injuries let me know, there were too many to keep track of.)

The Invincibles (JStands) vs Trousers (SI)

Ben Hunt can look to hit back against Johnathan Thurston after last years NRL Grand Final when he takes part as a member of The Invincibles to face Johnathan Thurston and the rest of the Trousers. But the stars just aren't just the in the halves with an absolute workhorses Jesse Bromwich, Michael Lichaa and Wade Graham on the side of The Invincibles and tackle breaking machines Roger Tuivasa-Scheck, Martin KaPOW!!, and Michael (Soon to be Captain) Morgan for Trousers.

JStands because you have only joined the league this year I am willing to give you a leg up and offer perhaps the most scintillating, the most tackle-breaking, try-assist making center in the game, the man who will make you remember his name TIM SIMONA! For the low, low price of Ben Hunt.

As long as both your centres are going to play, who cares if you have an emergency or not.

I'd suggest anyone double check their lineup as the default I was given was sub-optimal to say the least. Aaron Woods didn't even make my emergency FR spot, and was languishing on the bench.

Who cares if you win bye weeks.

Winning enough games to make the finals with a good team available is all that matters.

Mate, I remember destroying the opposition in the first 4 or 5 rounds last year; then all the injuries and suspensions hit and I couldn't get back into a good position.  The opposite could happen is what I'm saying I guess.  Even if you start slow it's a long season and the business end of the year is what counts.
