Bugger, really wanted a back on that bench for Sironen, how many minutes are you expecting him to get?

L-Jimmy wrote:Am I the only idiot seriously considering Ponga-Guth? Each scoring a 50 average for three games means I could trade them back in under a month and make nearly 200k.

Guth is the key man in the Eels whilst MMoz is away, and kicks. And Ponga looked like he was the man Cowboys and SEagles built their game plan against - not to mention carrying a bad head from last week.

    Major issues:
    1. It feels stupid.
    2. Would need another trade to get Ponga in again.
    3. I can’t really use the immediate 100k this week.
    4. Guth’s hair is too neat and it annoys me. Backs are way too pretty anyway.

    Major benefits:
    1. Some probable cash
    2. Product differentiation
    3. It will really irritate Welshy.

When Moses went down my first look on MTB site was what price Guth. Thought he was DPP HLF/WFB like previous seasons I think? Needed half not yet another WFB so bypassed. If Ponga had had the dud game a week earlier I would probably have made that trade

Which seems about right. Some are calling Teddy C against a sad Cowboys team. But if it’s damp as then he’ll step less folk than expected.

Google what happened to Gary Jack when he messed with Ian Roberts (although opinions may be split on 'messed with')

Thanks for the opinions today posters!! Very Happy

He was a big mofo with a 12 pack....what a body & I couldn't blame anyone for falling for him.

He also wipes the floor with Aubs in terms of beauty...I realise some on here wouldn't accept that comment

As long as players like Joel Thompson (who is normally great and does a lot of good work in the community) can still use a homophobic slur and the dozen or so players in earshot of him don't call him out for it and he claims he said "faker", I don't see any openly gay player in the NRL anytime soon.

I think NRL needs a moment like how David Pocock called it out during a game to a referee to be a catalyst for change. That was five years ago.

Not looking to good. I’m not to stressed though and will see what happens.

I’ve got Niu/S. Crichton for 18th man anyway.

I remember the rumour was Jack called him a homophobic slur and then no other player ever did after what he did to him.

I can't find a video but there was also a fight in a Australia vs France game where Roberts took on two or three Frenchmen and gave them all hidings.

He is one of the toughest blokes to ever play our game. Immense player.

Casey Conway was a part of the Sydney Roosters Jersey Flegg team in 2003 and retired from NRL in 2005 due to a shoulder injury. He didn't come out as gay until after his football career, although his teammates and family knew, he chose to keep it a secret from the NRL and the media. He is now a model.

Good man Pocock. Was great for the game, and has a decent brain and good moral centre too. Did a Masters in environmental management whilst waiting for his knee&shoulder to get less screwed (spoiler: they didn’t) and had a bit of a plan for a vocation.

Met him a couple of times - the only person I’ve known who just looked like a rectangle. Just this square slab of muscle and niceness. I’m a big bloke and his hand dwarfed my big Irish mitt like a baseball glove.

I've never met him but seems like such an honest, good bloke. Definitely someone to aspire to be like. If you haven't watched his Australian Story its a great one.

The way you describe him phyiscally makes him sound like Jacob Lillyman. Met him once while he was at the Warriors and he was just a rectangular slab of muscle.

Have been max trading, looking at bringing in Crichton and Norman this week. Need a half to replace Moses, and he looks to be good value if he can keep up his recent scoring with Clune next to him. Was keen on Fermor, but need those 2 more.
