So, no trades this week - by a close margin - a few trade addicts out there Smile

Decisions for team make-up by lock-out:

    - Captaincy: Haas vs Lolo vs Teddy
    - Starting centre (along with Latrell): Talau vs Crichton vs Niu
    - Loop option (with  Young as default): Talau vs Crichton vs HTF

Are there any loop options other than a straight 18th/19th man swap with Paix as 17th man?  With Paix as our 17th, assume that rules out having a look at Niu.

C on Haas, tempted by Teddy but Haas seems more guaranteed for at least a consistent 60+. Talau should be CTR, will our score Niu. Loop Crichton and Young to take a look at Crichtons score.

Young is the only player after Paix so if we loop need to put him after Crichton else we won't get a look at them before the order gets locked.

With Paix potentially making the 17, be careful about any loop setup

I've gone with Haas (c) - If you've got the bloke you may as well captain him. Niu my preferred centre for try scoring upside with similar base to Crichton. No loop with Paix in the 17

Yeah, I think if Paix makes the 17, someone with team access has to be prepared to move Young into 17 between 430-530 Sat, regardless of what the planned loop was.

I think the downside risk of coping Paix's score if he plays definitely outweighs the upside to looping. Chance of missing that lock out could be brutal

I'll be playing soccer Saturday afternoon - so can't commit to making the swap. Hopefully jelejasof can do it

We can still potentially loop - just make sure the default option is Paix out of the 17

If he doesn't make the bench we can swap him in if team, setup suggests its OK.

Agreed, would rather not loop and take the trusted 40 from Young. If we miss one of the outside back going big, so be it

I'll be around. But will make an early call to put Young in 17th if there's any issue.

With Talau out, the other option would be to fix Young as 17th man, slot Talau into ctr and use Paix to possibly loop between Crichton and Niu. So Paix 18th, Crichton 19th and Niu 20th. If Crichton scores badly, swap Niu and Paix. If he does well, leave as is and let Crichton sub in for Talau. Even if Paix plays, it should work?

good stuff, what's the consensus magic number for a centre loop? 30? 35? given its centre, anything over 10 would probably do Smile

I trust Niu more than Crichton who can score poorly if he doesn't get a try.

But anything 35+ I'd keep, 30-35 is a coin toss and under 30 throw the dice and activate loop
