My brother showed me his team last night and he was ranked 170 during the Storm game and still has 17 trades left. I closed my app pretty quickly.

I'm worried about the single digit AE potential.
That's not really a thing anymore is it? Just put him in at 21 and if you end up with his score, it's because you literally had no one else and his points are better than a zero. If you mean though to improve the quality of your reserves and you have the cash and trades could be a good play. Eg if you can straight trade HTF to Havili to have a better 18th man could be okay?

If you're playing casually, sticking to a couple of teams for fun is the go. The guys that max entering are trying to do something called MME mass multi entry. If you look up dfs strategy it's a whole world in itself mate. I used to put the odd team in for the last couple of but I've looked into try scorer betting for 7-8 years now so I've got some data on trends for that and dfs now so am putting in a few more teams to try to get the hang of it.
Basically, if you're doing it for a bit of fun stick to what you're doing! If you've got the time/can be bothered look up the strategies etc it's really interesting:)
Edit: to answer your actual question, if they have 20 teams in - they'd be planning for some to cash and even if 1 of them nab a top 5-10 rank then they're up for the game. Obviously repeating this over the long term that's what the goal is. Anyways mate I'm out of my depth even talking about it haha
Cheers mate, I'll stick to one team a game. Just in so ekf the scenarios they'd be better off having a bet on a h2h fixture.

Ah gotcha. So it’s deliberately trading in a red dot for strategic purposes instead of just ending up with heaps like we have this year.

A cheap ok enough cow would be nice to get rid of Hammer or Magoulias but options look thin right now.

It's more about killing 2 spots with WFB cover (HTF and another back you actually would be happy to get the score of). I suppose I could keep him if I was willing to play Niu ahead of Crichton each week (Crichton covering the Ctrs and WFB)

Latrell Mitchell has taken the early guilty plea for both of his charges from Friday night while the Rabbitohs have been given an extension until tomorrow to enter a plea on Mark Nicholls' charge.

So 2 weeks for Latrell

I’m gonna be mulling all week what to do with Latrell.
I could trade him to Butcher or Havili but then the issue is I only have Hammer as WFB cover and have no centre coverage so probs not wise.

I think people would be crazy to keep that overrated hack now.

If it was 3 weeks he’s gone but 2 weeks is a tough one. If Niu or S. Crichton go down next 2 weeks Latrell just comes straight back in for them in my team.MilfordTheMagician wrote:I think people would be crazy to keep that overrated hack now.

Yes but also ending up with say a bench full of sub 300k red dot players on your bench
Not making cash and almost not worth the waste of a trade out for the 50k
Even worse is if they end up on the bench with only a few minutes each week bleeding the cash you made

Why too may red dot's are a bad thing and how can you avoid it
Novel time
Will use the guy in overall first place as an example
He looks to be in trouble having ridden his luck too much and will probably get caught out
HTF at WFB and Luai in the halves with Mitchell at CTR (Suspended next week)
Paix,Averillo,Smat,Field is his 18-21,
He only has SMat to fund upgrades but even he may be needed next week if he plays so have zero cash options.
The thing is he put himself in this situation at some point, somewhere he stretched too far (Cook,Taumalolo,Cleary,Ponga,Tedesco,SMat,Mitchell)
At a guess he bought a couple of guns in the 4 trade round after they scored big to give him a great 15/17
In hindsight would have been better spreading the cash to have an ok 16/17 with a cow or 2 still earning in his NPR
It's not always intentional but I try to make sure I don't stretch too far too early so usually target the underpriced or sub gun player to make my $$$ go further and rely less on cows
It doesn't always work early on (Given the law of averages) but ramps up mid to late game
Other options is keeping some cash or a playable slow burn player with good job security in the NPR's for when i need the funds
Luai is in my 18-21, Mann was cashed out this week (For Niu) and Fogarty is in my 17
So I have a plan going forward that is far less risk adverse than gambling on say Field scoring 50+ and relying on Moses not returning next week
Hey its great when it works out and credit to the gamble, just don't rely on this to always work out
Given the way centres are going this year I have also opted to stack the cheapies here so my risk is having at least 2 fit/selected to play
There will always be someone cheap CTR's each week to trade to if I get stuck here worst case.
Probably would even play 16 if shit really hit the fan
It's just the way this year has worked out so if I need to cash out it might as well be to a CTR who I have to play anyways
Basically don't kill off fit Cows too early with questionable cash outs (For guns) as you may need their funds or points later when shit hits the fan
Also opens yourself up to them scoring big the following week and you regretting why you traded them out.
Worst case give them another week just to check it wasn't a one off bad score or a chance to kickstart their earning again
TLDR Don't gamble on too many crap cows because you need the cash for the FOTM Gun who went big that week
If you can't afford them and are forced to make a shit trade, wait until the next week and make a better one

They were analyzing the Knights/Eels game on the Sunday Footy Show that Knights would throw everything at the Eels right side defence.
Damn really making me re-think my Best trade. He'll score 2 if I trade him out, he'll concede 2 if I don't.

Thought I'd go for a relaxing walk with the dogs, dude sees me in my Eels jumper and we have a brief chat in which he mentions he's changed his Saints tip as he's hearing McInnes could be out with a cork issue. Any truth to this at all? This would explode my face.
