Someone mentioned previously about Rein being a possible option at HKR. He is off contract this year so will no doubt step it up a notch to bump up the $$$ value of his next contract.

Exactly. No doubt it wont be the last injury to occur between now and the start of the season to a Fantasy prospect.

I guess these would be the starters for round 1 then

Would be annoying for Edwards. Didn't play any first grade last year, goes to a new club with a chance for a fresh start, and then gets injured before the he has a chance to play first grade

I remember plenty picking Rein last year after there was no L'Estrange on the bench in Round 1 - he played 1 x 80 minute game then got rotated for the rest of the year. Surely McCrone or Havilli end up getting the utility spot on the bench, even if not Round 1, Mary has Shafting form on the board...

When is Trex off contract? He might finally deliver upon his potential. Disappointed Hopoate didnt pull his finger out when he was off contract...

Also Ballin now out an extra month it seems to Rd7/8.  May change the backrow dynamic as Cherrington 99% on the bench now so Halatua more than likely used differently.

Edwards could be a decent short term cash cow trade. There are usually a few each year who get time early on/rookies on the bench that make 100k very quick but dont offer anything more, someone like Lisone last year. Edwards could provide a decent cash out while trading to another cash cow rather than almost trading to a dead position early on

Who's someone that works their way into a everyone's team at one stage during the year and they think "how the fuck did you get in"
