Who would you pick? Tevaga? Bunt? CS9?

The reason I'm looking at Cleary is because I need a gun half anyway (was gonna wait on Moses or Munster, but I think instead I might get Cleary now and try to jump at Tevaga or someone like that in a week or 2), and that Cleary is averaging more than Haas and Teddy, is quite highly owned among top teams, and adds another genuine captaincy option each week.

That ton will also make him very hard to reach in 2-3 weeks time, he'll be at 950k if not pushing the million by then, since the Panthers draw is piss weak for the rest of the year basically.
I’d probs pick Hunt but I see a case for you bringing Cleary in. Going to Hunt though means you save 200k which could be vital for an upgrade in another position.

I think I'm just gonna bite the bullet and get Cleary, as I don't trust Mary to not play silly buggers with Bunt.

If I buy Cleary, then the plan will be to sell Luai in a week or two for a 2RF or FRF that I can afford, and selling Mann down to a cheaper half if I need extra money. Guys I'm looking at for this are Tevaga, JFH and Taupau, though if I do sell Mann down to a cheaper half, I could potentially reach up for McInnes (once he gets 2RF dual) Odds are that I won't be able to afford McInnes, and Tevaga's the main one I've got my eye on.

That would leave me with 5 trades left to cover injuries and 16 players to play every week, the 17th spot being looped with my outside backs or the cheaper half that I buy. if I can keep Mann, then he is the 17th man.

Unfortunately, Rugby is only dying in Australia. Globally it has its problems (Covid, player safety) but is absolutely galaxies ahead of League in terms of finance, exposure, professionalism, opportunity. It shouldn't be that way, because League is a much better game, but it is and to suggest otherwise is absurdly parochial.

Undoubtedly. Was talking about in Australia

Don’t hate rugby either. Just find it a pretty poor spectacle most of the time

Actually, I was just poking around at cheaper halves, and it might not be the worst idea to jump back on Billy Walters? Madge did say that it's his spot to lose now, he looked pretty good on the weekend and his 2 games that he's played at 5/8 have both been good (72 last week, 40 in the game last year for Melbourne in the bye), and a BE of 2. Might not be the worst idea to get him if it looks like he'll hold his spot at 6, the Tigers seem to be a good team and Walters looks good at 6.
