Question time - what would you do (I have 8 trades after doing Niu to B. Sironen):
(a) Play Young in 17 or
(b) Use my 2nd trade = Fogarty out & Randall in (it gives me 247k bank) & play Randall in the 17 & Young goes to npr.

Edit - I currently have 5 hlf's in my team - Cleary, Mann, Hunt, Luai, Fogarty so Fogarty can be released.

Souths best forward this year is Tom Burgess, he’s become a leader and isn’t getting the credit he deserves.

Wayne said last night what Cody did was off the back of Tom in the middle.

This year Tom is making very good post contact metres and playing longer minutes.

It is really rough tbh, I think ditching Luai is a good option. You will bank a load of cash and have someone who is generating cash. Luai will still earn money, but slower than Randall/Starling. I would rather Randall as he seems more likely to have a bench role for the year. Though I don't know how the Raiders roster is. That will give you 8 trades, so you can potentially use 4 (Living life on the edge) to cash out two blokes and upgrade Young/Whoever else.

Off the bench instead of Hoy? Still would mean Mann rotates to that HOK role and even 60 minutes for Randall is going to be good for the guy. Hoy had been getting 20 odd minutes in the role before. Don't think it changes massively.

Thanks mate.  Yeah, not keen on dumping Laui, but there's only 21 spaces there and can't keep everyone.  For the game, Luai to Randall/Starling is probably the smart play.  Laui's run home is very good though.  Could toss Young instead but want to see his role moving forward.  Luai's run home is very good too.  ARGH!

I would hope Randall keeps the starting spot too though.

It is, but how many points ar eyou betting him to make 40 odd each game?

40 odd is the same I would expect from the other two roughly, so essentially it is 1 Trade vs $200k

I'm surprised people think 4 trades for injuries is being risky. I think it's around the right amount. Avoiding/getting cursed with injuries is purely based on luck anyway, you could have 1 trade and avoid every injury or you could have 4 trades and it not be enough

As I said yesterday I ran with final 7 rounds last year with 1 trade and only got punished in final round. Obviously you can only use 2 in final round (assuming point of max carnage) so you need to set up team right before it

Again mentioning point about cow to keeper, the longer you wait to upgrade to keeper the less points you gain

Reading the Knights forum & the O'Brien comments you could infer that he'll play hooker 60 mins for Randall & 20 mins for Crossland. O'Brien talks up Crossland's defense & noted he's gained a bit of weight & says the good thing about a non-hooker playing hooker is that he'll get the ball to where it needs to go i.e. the hlfs instead of over-playing his hand & going for himself.

Who scores the worst:

Butcher off the bench (where he scored 44 v Warriors)
Young supposedly starting at lock (though Ricky loves a pack reshuffle)
Randall starting at hooker?

Tough one but from worst score to best score:
Young - only because who knows what Ricky will do he may even start Tapine & bench Young
Butcher - should score mid 40's again
Randall - reported he'll play 60 mins & he's apparently the fittest at the club & a tackle bot so he could push 50 points.
