NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 69 - 69 Dude!

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 69 - 69 Dude!
I think part of the problem the Knights have atm is Pearce is dominating too much in attack so the opposition defense know in advance what will happen. They need to find a way to get Mann more involved when they are in attacking positions to keep the defense guessing. Even Pearce' kicking game recently has been pretty average whereas Mann has nailed it every time he's used his kicking game. Mann has periods during the game where he's involved but there are large periods of the game where he does nothing.

Look at the Eels this year D. Brown has assumed more control over the team & Moses has become less dominant & it's working very well. I see D. Brown & K. Mann as the same type of player, good on their feet, fast, good defenders & both have a good kicking game so why don't the Knights adopt this model or is Pearce not willing to do so. Pearce is a great player but he's older now & looks to have lost some pace & his defense at times is pretty average.

This year is nothing like any year we have had previously. The speed of the game has significantly increased so players tire quicker. Compounded with the fact that no team has a bye to rest these players I can state as a fact that players that are important to their teams title chances will be rested in the run home. That could be less minutes in the back end of games, or missing entire games but it will happen. Inconveniently the players that are important to title chances are the same players we want to own in fantasy so we will see carnage at the back end. I'm still convinced the extra 50 points from upgrades (5x10 rounds) will be undone in round 20 when most teams are running out less than 17 players and those that banked trades can pivot
Yeah but regardless of what happens if R20 is the carnage round in the final round you can still only use 2 trades maximum, unless Harvey Norman intervenes again
If you look at R24 last year (2nd last round) there wasn't any surprises but final round there was carnage (McInnes injured, Munster rested, Bateman + CNK rested among others). I absolutely expect carnage to occur but if a team has still got something to play for in the final round, they're unlikely to have mass changes. This year's final round has Roosters v Souths & Broncos v Cowboys which feature a fair few common fantasy players, and given they're a derby with pride on the line, you should see largely complete squads barring injuries/niggles
I also feel like I'm expecting more than 5 point upgrade on final upgrade (Fogarty @ 43 average to keeper 2RF @ ~56 average) which is around 100 points difference
And in the end if I getting destroyed in the final round there's always next year

@ wacko's - Su'a has been charged with a grade 1 dangerous tackle on McInnes near the end of the game (yes it was a dirty cheap shot). Due to his history he's looking at a 1 game suspension unless he is found not guilty at the judiciary.

Yeah, it wasn't great. If he was a cleanskin you'd be fine with him not missing a game, but it wasn't called for.

Only 1 in 5 teams have him in the top 1000, so it would be helpful in the rankings

As I said yesterday I ran with final 7 rounds last year with 1 trade and only got punished in final round. Obviously you can only use 2 in final round (assuming point of max carnage) so you need to set up team right before it
Again mentioning point about cow to keeper, the longer you wait to upgrade to keeper the less points you gain
Agree overall with what ur saying, if u just want to settle for a comfortable finish, yeah i had ample trades going into the final round, held injured players etc.. ur less chance of getting as high as you possibly can. If you approach it more hardline, trading harder and more thin ice type stuff, yeah ur a chance of bombing out altogether, but you are more chance to get rank higher if u get a bit of luck and don't capitulate.

I'm low on trades, but I do have good cover atm. Hopefully that will be enough to bear the brunt of the pending onslaught.

Arghhh I’d be keen on Randall with 10 trades left just don’t know if I am at 8 trades.
Probably just have to bite the bullet and hope for the best. Sironen and Randall as 18/19 for the rest of the year.
And probably a upgrade to Norman and Butcher next week will leave 5 for the run home

Fantastic video, worth watching the whole thing.
Renouf is a treasure. Was one of my favourite players when he was on the field.

So, scoring around 40 a game, after 3 more rounds both Starling and Randall will be around 450K. That's not bad........

Even while Townsend was there give me SJ. Now that he is playing next to a guy that has literally never kicked the ball in his NRL career, expect a huge base

Jackson Ferris too.
The 2017 and 2018 Sharks under 20’s team was a gun side with a heap in first grade or coming through at the moment
Regardless of what happens with John Morris, a lot of players that played under him in those teams have since debuted under him in NRL
For a bit of fun, have a browse through these lists
