Thinking of doing a Angus - Bateman trade. Two reasons. Love the bloke and what he has brought to the raiders outfit. Also it will finish up my 17 for the year with four trades left for injury suspension. Hmmm.

Long time lurker (2 years) first time poster here. My team absolutely stunk after round 4, too many failed mid rangers and the wrong guns. Thanks to the solid advice here I’m coming home strong, finished this round with a score of 1115 taking me just to outside the top 500.
Want to give a nod to all the contributors to this forum, whilst sometimes I think I get sucked into group think and don’t trust my gut enough, the opinions and advice on this forum really do make fantasy coaches aware of all the options on the table. Not to mention all the entertainment with the back and forth banter, stats bitching and in-game commentary!
Looking forward to lurking less and contributing more

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 70 - Low-max
So after updates up to 1025 for the round for myself so just probs around 15 maybe 20 points below par.
Rank hasn’t gone down as much as I thought, from 350 to 395.
@wolfking you’re 41 points ahead of me mate, it’s on ahahahaha.
We will both be doing an upgrade though next week I know you wanna get another gun in and so do I.
Are you looking at anyone else besides Cleary? Taumalolo or Bateman for me. I’m leaning towards Lolo as I think he will outscore Bateman narrowly in the run home but Bateman could be a good POD.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 70 - Low-max
I’ve lost 46 points the last 3 weeks captaining Teddy over Haas but I will wear that.
I think the lesson I have learnt is probs best to stop my silly POD captain plays and just leave it on Haas as I’d have been in the top 280 if I had kept it on Haas. Oh well big lesson learnt for myself.
Now next week I’ll probs take it off Teddy and he will score a double then and go 80 plus.

You and me both @danseels1985. This is the kind of year that makes you wonder why you keep coming back to Fantasy.
But, chin uo mate, she's a cruel mistress this game, that's why we love it.
And when you smash a round out of the park, it's all the more sweeter because of the shit weeks.

Yeah mate, you'll catch me. My good run starting to falter. No Cleary is killing. If I don't look at him, it will be Bateman. I can't see Cleary slowing down though and not having him is just brutal.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 70 - Low-max
Just a reminder that you can't have every big name gun. Every week there will be players capable of scoring 100 that aren't in your team.
For me personally I've gone with Cook, Haas, DCE, Cleary and Taumalolo as my super guns for the run home. Another one will likely join them this week, but this means death riding McInnes, Teddy, Smith(when fit), Crichton, Matterson, Harris who have all put up monsters this year.
If chasing one particular gun ruins your team balance it's probably not worth it. Grab the guys that haven't yet had the big scores, but you know are capable of it and hope for things to normalise over the rest of the year

I don't think I've ever read a more monstrous post in the time that I've been here. It almost made me hand out my first down vote ever, but as someone has already done that I'll let it go this time.
Be better MS

LOL @ this getting downvoted.
Yeah, true. Maybe I have blinkers on, but it's looking like Cleary is the fantasy killer this year.

Beat me by 10 for the round and are now only 11 pts behind me overall and I'm 36 ranks above you; such a tight comp this year. I'm down 55 points on not captaining Haas the last 3 weeks which stings given my captaincy choices were within a couple of pts average of Haas prior to last few rounds. I think Cleary is probably the best captaincy choice right now or just continue to death ride Teddy until he scores some tries again.

I want every big name gun... especially those capable of centuries
I've got McInnes, Haas, DCE, and Cleary. And I was lucky to get Lucy's century a few weeks back.
I really want Bateman as the POD pick, but I think i'll need to settle on DFifita (the popular pick)
I'm also thinking of parking the C on Cleary for the next little while with how he's playing.
