Or at the very least ones which defuse a scoring possibility (i.e. attacking kicks in and around the try area). I'm not sure the roosters put in a genuine attacking kick all night. Wasn't much for pappy to defuse.

They do? Oh wow, I just always thought when a kick is put down on a 5th tackle if the ball is caught and brought back you get a point as a KD. I guess what you are saying makes sense though. Maybe I've never taken that much notice before.

Bummer that SST didn't get the try. He may have got it down but the Storm players did well covering it from every angle.

If that was the case there'd by 30-40 Kick Defusals given out every game.

The actual definition in the rules is: successful action preventing opposition scoring or regaining ball

I do believe it is contested bombs, catching grubber successfully and knocking a ball dead that count
