Probably name him 14 and might start over Tino on gameday, like how he's started FR a couple of times. Storm play 3 Sunday games in the last 5, so could be a sweat.

I'm kinda expecting Tino to play LK though and BSmith bench, but could depend how Tino handles the role.

I'm bummed about missing out on Tino as a cash-cow, he would have been a great pick-up

Is Talau to Hopoate sideways? Talau's coming off a disappointing score and has a tough draw, but he's still averaging 35. Hopoate's career average 70+ mins at fullback is 40.1 so a 5 point upgrade (maybe a little more if Talau's average continues to slide). Worth it for the higher ceiling?

Can someone help me here… not sure if I have worked this out properly.

    This is keeping Haas:
This week I will do Butcher > Teddy
    R15 I will take Herbie = 30, Cotric = 35, Sironen = 35, Lucy = 55.. = 155 + 65 from captaining Cleary = 220
    R16 I will take Sironen = 35 , Lucy = 55 and Cotric v Herbie = 35.. = 125 (cameron smith should be back, pushing Koro to bench and Herbie/Cotric into EMG) + 65 from captaining cleary = 190
    R17 Haas Back, so Carrigan moves to bench. So will take Haas = 70 x 4 (140 x 4 as he will be captain), Lucy = 55 x 4 and Cotric v Sironen = 35 x 4 … = 920 (bench will be Koro, Carrigan, Moses and Cotric v Sironen)

    Total Points = 1,220

Trading Haas and bringing back in
This week I would do Haas > Bateman and Butcher > Teddy (leaves 128K)
    R15 I will get Bateman = 60, Sironen = 35, Cotric v Herbie = 35, Lucy = 55 … = 185 + extra 65 from captaining Cleary = 250
    R16 Smith back pushes Koro to bench. Will get Bateman = 60 , Lucy = 55 and Cotric v Herbie = 35 … = 150 + 65 from cleary = 215
R17 I should just have enough for Lucy to Haas (leaving me 1 trade for the final 3 weeks) and I will get Haas = 140 x 4, Bateman = 60*4 and Cotric v Sironen = 35*4 (same bench as above) = 940

    Total Points = 1,405.

If I trade Haas and bring him back in it results in an extra 185 points and 1 less trade.

That’s an upgrade especially if Hoppa remains at FB, but it is a bit of a luxury trade. Depends on how many trades you have up your sleeve

I am also considering this, or maybe starling to Hopate and Talau to emergency wfb/ctr cover. Argh this week got me considering some random trades. Probably wont do any lol

I decided early on to trade out Haas but ive just started to come around to the idea of holding him and trading Hetho to Ofa.

Ofa should play big mins over the next two weeks and probably beyond for the rest of the season. Should keep the starting spot with lodge, flegler and pangai all gone for the season.

With no haas this week and the make up of our bench, he will probably need to play 55-60 mins.

Biggest issue is his form, hes been pretty awful. It was back in 2018 that he was solid, in games over 50 mins he avgd 51 pts. Across the entire season he averaged 42.

If he could get close to 50 over the next two weeks he might nearly match whoever i trade haas to.. if they have quietish games. After that, hes a reasonable 18th man assuming he does keep that starting spot, but who else is there at the Broncos..
    Hmmmmmmm

I don’t reckon Hunt will be making as many tackles against Brisbane.

I’m backing McInnes I think to bust quite a number of tackles and possibly score a try.

I brought this up yesterday but no one seemed to like it.

Do you think it’d be better for me to bring JFH or Ofa in? Ofa is probs better value and saves lots of cash to get Haas back in?

So to clarify with Haas you play

RD 15 - Herb or Cotric
    RD 16 - Sironen

    Without Haas you play Bateman

    RD 15 - Bateman
    RD 16 - Bateman

So could you Sironen + Lucy to Bateman in Round 17 and save the trades for the two weeks.

How much does Bateman outscore Cotric/Herb the 1st week and Sironen the 2nd week?

That is the real difference and is it worth 2 trades when you could save then for piece of mind for 2 weeks and then with 3 rounds to go make big moves.

    Also Butcher starting is good.

    Oh ok.

Do you think if I have Ofa as 17th man from this point would that be ok?

Surely with TPJ, Lodge and Flegler all out he won’t see an less than 50mins a game.

I was keen on JFH but Ofa is like 270k cheaper.

Just go with your gut mate. Don't let us convince you otherwise. Ted hasn't been as effective behind a weaker team. THere'd be no rush to get him. He's not garunteed a big score against the Tigers. Tigers will take a bit of confidence out of the win last week.

I'm coming round to reasoning that if only use 1 trade of remaining 4 it has to be 2RF/FRF for 642k or less. Only have 4 active 2RF and 2 FRF + Haas

The best in that price range appears to Lawrie. JFH scoring been up and down lately. Lawrie is pretty nailed starting right (I think he is just playing devil's advocate)

Problem with kennedy, hes gassed after 15 mins.

No doubt ofa has been poor, he has a motor at least.

He has actually played better in the last couple of weeks, just eye test wise. Has been having a bit more of a dig..
