I've set the initial start-up draft to being an auction as this takes out any of the inherent bias of a snake draft. For rookie drafts in subsequent years, I would propose a linear draft in reverse order of the previous season standings (like the NFL draft).
Happy to go with the consensus on annual buy-in amount (as long as there is at least some cash involved to keep people interested).

Also, if anyone wants to participate in a Yahoo Fantasy 10-person Draft with a $50 buy in, please let me know! We have filled 6 spots. If its any incentive, it is the first time me and my mate are giving it a crack so we might not be that good haha.
