    Early thoughts are;

    Tolo - Barnett
    Hetherington - Offa

Don't like Offa at all but need a playing front row. Hopefully Mofo just pleads guilty and only misses a week. Although no point until waiting for TLT now.

I agree with the sentiments about buying a WFB at peak price and not chasing last weeks points. I in fact paid 885k in round 8 when Harvey gave us extra trades, otherwise like you, I would have waited it out. The problem is though, none of the guys you listed play WFB. I knew it was overs for Teddy but can't say I really regret it, sometimes you've just gotta stump up the cash. He's played every game I've owned him and averaged 55.6 and I wasn't silly/bold enough to captain him. And given I already had HTF, Farnworth, Talau, I didn't want to spend a trade at WFB unless it was for Teddy.

Buying Teddy didn't knock me out of the top 100. The two bad trades I did the following week, followed by four injuries the week after that, followed by the Matterson dramas the subsequent three weeks, is what screwed me.

Also, I think a lot of people would have (like me) traded in Teddy in Rd 5 after his 94 in Rd 3. Thus getting his 110, 82, 76, 62 and a few 50s. I'm happier having him than not.

Will probably do Tolo -> Cook and shift CM9 to 2RF. Have front row cover so Fotuaika can just take the 1 week please.

Would then leave me money to do Siro -> Brimson (should go well with a run of Dragons, Bulldogs, Broncos, Manly). But 1 trade for 4 weeks with Talau, HTF, and Fui as depth is risky business.

Thinking Lolo to Barnett or Tevaga this week, leaving me cash for Luai to Haas next week.

are there any cheapies likely to outscore sironen/ Talau at their price?

or is it just best to keep 2 trades with only 14k cash ITB?

Actually just realised I can do Tolo -> Cleary and just move Siro to 2RF, because I'm probably going to have to play him anyway. Might be worth it.

If MoFo takes the guilty plea or fights it and loses, I'll trade Lolo to a FRF for cover.

Is SST going to keep up these scores? I don't know if he'll keep playing big minutes once Cordner and Crichton come back. They're both edge back-rowers but Sitili and Butcher would return to the middle rotation and I assume SST's game time would go down.

CS9 only in 54 of the top 1000 teams, might grab him instead of Cook if named.

    - Manly youngster Albert Hopoate will return to the Sea Eagles to help ease their injury crisis, cutting short his loan stint with the Warriors.
    - Parramatta have however agreed to George Jennings and Daniel Alvaro staying on with the Warriors for round 16 after they too were due to return to the Eels this week.
    - The Broncos won't be boosted by the returns of captain Alex Glenn (knee) or winger Xavier Coates (foot), with the pair still running with the rehab group.
    - Prop Tom Flegler didn't have surgery on a shoulder injury but is also in the rehab group and will miss this round.
    - Roosters captain Boyd Cordner and winger Daniel Tupou could make long-awaited returns in Round 16.
    - Second-rowers Angus Crichton (MCL) and Sonny Bill Williams (conditioning) are still "a couple weeks off".
    - Prop Andrew Fifita (finger) is a chance to return
    - champion hooker Cameron Smith (shoulder) is firming to return for the Sea Eagles showdown along with Jahrome Hughes (groin). Jesse Bromwich will return from suspension.

Bought Ofa last week, it’s definitely a meh purchase but covers both positions and shd get a game for the rest of the season. Also doesn’t bust the bank. Was planning to ‘rotate’ with Siro although LoLo out might throw that one out of kilter this week.

SST deserves a rest, but as a SST owner I hope he will keep playing

multiple.scoregasms wrote:Since the majority of his owners traded in Teddy at 881k after his hat trick he has missed 1 game, averaged 53 and lost nearly 200k.

For reference you could have had Cook(857k), Murray(725k), Cleary(819k), SJ(727k), DCE(819k) or JTurbo(734k) who were all popular trade ins candidates that week and have outscored Teddy.

Hopefully this will be remembered the next time(next year) everyone wants to buy a WFB at a high price after a few tries

    Not me! Razz

I traded him in for 911k and he's averaged 45. I would like to say I have learnt my lesson, but I probably won't know that until the end of next season.

The news that Flegler won't be having surgery might put a halt to Ofa. Won't play this week, but could be back next week along with Haas.

Yeah, not liking that. With Arrow potentially back in a round or 2 that makes me wary on Wallace too.
