Round 16 against the Tigers, Cleary scored 92.

Thanks mate. Just on yours I traded in cook a few weeks back and never regretted. Out of all your options I’d take cook.

Cheers lads. Yeah, even though Cook plays first, he does seem like the most reliable option. Heavily owned too so don't miss out if he gets a banner.

I plan to use Niu in the loop this week via Koloamatangi and Randall.

How many mins do we think Randall gets? Are we thinking he gets 50mins and Crossland gets 30mins?

If Randall gets 50mins you’d think he can score around 30ish......

I'm still not sure about trading Haas but I'm focusing on H2H rather than overall. So its a question of whether to hold him this week in the hope of getting through this week and having him come back in the team for the GF. When i crunched the numbers on the two options (sell or hold Haas), it was close enough to a tie over the two rounds (so relevant to overall) - the points I lost in R19 by not selling Haas, I gained back in R20 by having him back. Of course, you'd want to have a trade up your sleeve in case he isn't back in R20...

Thinking more mate, I think it depends on what you're playing. Overall, trading him this seems seems to be the best play if it avoids playing a spud like Hammer. Head to Head it really just depends on matchups and if you think you can scrape in this week.

Another play is having Haas ready to trade if need be. Follow the first two games closely and try and gauge on who has already played in your matchups. Your trade could depend on how guys like Siro, Murray, Crichton, Hammer etc. go. If a dud you have that your opponent doesn't have goes well, it may give you grounds to hold. If they flop, trade Haas and hope Cleary gets rested next week to straight swap him back. That's my thinking.

Crossland's biggest minutes when not replacing an injured player is 21, with an average of 14 minutes.

So probably 70 minutes when Randall goes down early again

Cleary is the no 2 captaincy option site wide (behind Haas) and I assume is the most popular option amongst active teams.

I wouldn't let a few comments on here let you think that he is some sort of POD option.

I reckon 55/25-ish split is most likely, although I also wouldn't be surprised if Randall plays close to 80, but then I also wouldn't rule out a Havili/Starling style arrangement where Randall plays the first 30 and is never seen again.

C-Ponga here. Punting on a big score after a rest, against a poor team, and playing for a team looking to prove something before finals. Risk is of rain, but hey.

I like it man, go for it.

He might pick up some kick metres again too. Up until Blake Green joined he was kicking up to almost 200 metres per game, then it dropped right off. I mean at the end of the day, if you captain him, he needs to go big with attacking points, but it all adds up.

Not sure if Tex takes the game by his hands. Ponga could play second fiddle behind Pearce setting up tries all day and scoring a couple of his own.

Corey Waddell (a.k.a. the 2021 Stimson) has joined Dogs for 3 years as Dogs continue on their aim to have a 17 full of 2RFs

    Thoughts on who to captain?

As it stands now, I will have 17 players thanks to Randall being named, but that means my WFB is trash for the 2nd week in a row, with Ponga replacing Teddy as the one good WFB I have left.

Which one of the following guys should I captain?

    * Cleary: The safest pick, and has a good matchup, but I'm very hesitant to do it as he's just had a big score, half the forward pack is getting rested and they have to fly up to Townsville on game day, which leads me to believe this will be one of the weeks Cleary only gets 55 instead of the 80+ that I want.

    * Ponga: Has a great matchup, coming off a rest, but we've seen how low his floor is, and Ponga does have games where he gets a bit lazy, so that's a big risk.

    * Wighton: He's been on a run of doubles in the last few weeks, and is up against a Warriors team with nothing to play for while his team is fighting for the top four, but if he doesn't get tries, he doesn't usually get over 50, and as we saw against Brisbane, even a good matchup doesn't mean that he'll necessarily score well. He is definitely a risky captain, but is the biggest "POD Captain" and he is the main point of attack for the Raiders.

At the moment I'm leaning Wighton because I feel my team is heavily outgunned by most of the others on here, and POD captains are fun, but I'm not entirely sure.

With him, AFB and Thompson leaving, they are going to be really short of quality forwards.
