That's because Luai is way less important to their title charge. You aren't winning a comp with a Burton/Luai halves pairing, but you might win one with Cleary/Burton
While it's very unlikely(and would greatly benefit my fantasy team), I'd like to point out that May has played centres this year and Crichton has played every game so far. As someone that doesn't own Crichton I'd love to see him rested with May centre, Burton 14 and Cleary getting an early shower
I reckon Luai is pretty important to premiership chances, as Burton just offers the same as Cleary at a worse quality whereas Luai can create something out of nothing (last week prime example with TA on HT for Mansour & try on FT)
I don't think they'd win if they had Cleary & Burton

Don't get me wrong, the Panthers best chance of winning is having Cleary and Luai fit.
I don't think Panthers will win if either of them go down, but if you can only choose one to be fit it's Cleary every day of the week

Yeah just annoyed thats it a CTR and a WFB I need. Would be happy if it were a combo of absolutely any other position.
Just tough figuring out the right combo
Manu and Brimson
Peachey and Tupou
Harper and Turbo (hope for a Manly spree for the last two weeks)
Any thoughts on some interesting combos lads?

I wouldn’t get Manu. I think he’ll score big this week but strong chance he gets rested next week IMO - he is the only Rooster to have played every game this season.
I liked your T’oo shout, he’s like Nofo lite. Peachey is the safest bet for good base.

NRL Physio says Cordner officially out. Hello Crichton... I'm very tempted. Would love it if they also switch Collins back to the bench like last week and Butcher gets a run too.

Some game time for Burton wouldn't be a bad idea, Ivan.
I said earlier this week I wouldn't be surprised if Cleary drops out of the squad (gets a rest)... big reason I didnt C or VC him.

I went with the wheeldecider and chucked the C on Ponga this week. Will have Ponga C, Randall and Lomax in the last game.

Yep, was expecting this to happen, will be one of very few playing Crichton as Captain. Hopefully adds a couple of tries to his huge base for a banner.robelgordo wrote:NRL Physio says Cordner officially out. Hello Crichton... I'm very tempted. Another option is to trade Teddy this week and keep Pappy instead.
Would be a real kick in the teeth if Pappy has next week off as well
Could then do Teddy and Niu to Peachey and Turbo

I really want to do this as it's the only way I can get Ponga. But I would feel like a total dick if Pappy doesn't play next week and I'm forced to use hammer for another week.

Vc'd Cook in case Cleary is rested, which it doesn't appear he is.

Nice sub editing on nrl.com this morning. Story about Brimson studying Bolts sprinting style 'Usain in the Membrane'

There’s another story on NRL.com today that makes Norman sound UBER selfish and like a prick (more than what he already appears).
Headline is “Norman fears dragons form may cost him his Maroons spot”. That just really rubs me the wrong way.

For stuff like this just remember Corey Norman doesn't write the headline (and normally the guy that actually wrote the article won't do it either)
Some sub-editor just picks a headline to get clicks
First line of article
" Corey Norman fears his form for St George Illawarra may cost him his place"
Actual quote from Corey
“I probably haven’t played enough good football to be there so I am just worried about here [the Dragons]. I’d never say no but we will see what happens.”

How dare you skew the public’s opinion with facts

Yeah this is what I'm saying. They are sort of digging a hole for Corey. Making it sound like it’s coming from his mouth and just spinning what he says.

I'd say I'll take Siros 41, but who would you play out of Randall or Starling? Starling is more or less proven now, and averages 44 coming off the bench. Don't think you can take much from Randall's stats. I'd like to take the player with the higher ceiling, even if it means a lower floor.
TU: Randall
TD: Starling
Normally id say Starling because you know he's gonna get at least 50 mins. But with no Mann you may well take a punt on Randall
