I doubt I will start with Haas next season. Would be surprised if the new coach plays him for 80 minutes almost every week, which means his average will drop next season. Will also have the high value player tax on his price point. Would prefer trying to find some value in my regular captain.StormTrooper96 wrote:
I think Haas is an auto-pick next year. Slap the C on him and leave it their. Fill the rest up with supporting cast (Riki, Paseka, Tino, Fifita, Dearden and co)
Raiders pack may have some nice gems next year? Ryan James, CHN, Hudson Young, Horseburgh

Based on current averages these are some players I was interested in or have seen mentioned a lot. Nice "shell" of a 21 early days
1 Latrell $533k - Full off season at fullback SHOULD see some more consistency, with hopefully more of his back half scores than front half. Probably needs DPP for me to actually pick him
2 Turbo $567k - Will be the cheapest top tier WFB keeper in a position with a lot of volatility. Will be in a similar price range to guys like CNK, Doueihi, Gagai and should outscore them comfortably
3 J.Roberts $413k - Rabbitohs should be better for the run and have an improved forward pack. Will be similar priced to the likes of Lafai, McIntyre, Moga, Naden
4 Hopoate $438k - Full season at fullback in an improved Bulldogs team. I've been burnt 2 years in a row by taking Bulldogs players, but 3rd time is a charm
5 Oates $328k - Close to rookie price for a proven performer. Priced at basically his floor with upside
6 Brooks $591k - Will take over all the general play kicking with Benji gone and should get back towards his 2019 average of 50
7 Cleary $1070k - Unlikely I actually run with him, but has shown an incredible floor
8 Lodge $464k - Starting prop that has previously averaged 50. In a similar price range to bench guys like Nicholls, Burr, Ofa, Jwal, Clark, Merrin, Soliola
9 Hodgson $560k - Probably the best "value" hooker but a certain upgrade. Not sure there is enough value here to start with him over the likes of Cook/McInnes. Would personally rather go with Moses/Cook than Cleary/Hodgson
10 McLean $560k - Probably under valued due to injury, however like Hodgson not a keeper and not sure he makes enough money to be worth it
11 Riki $438k - If starting edge will be in most serious teams
12 Fa’asuamaleaui $621k - Will be a popular pick, but probably a pass for me. Probably too awkwardly priced for me and would rather gun up
13 Arrow $669k - Similar minutes to his 2019 campaign, but attacking stats way down. Probably priced at his floor and should get a ~55 minute role at the Rabbitohs as a minimum. If Murray moves to the edge permanently, Arrow would be in for a big minute increase.
14 Milford $463k - After the season from hell, Broncos will rebound. Another priced at his floor with way more upside than similar options (Lino, Clune)
15 CHN $321k - Ricky confirmed starting right edge, locked in for all serious teams
16 Gosiewski $312k - Should get the starting edge spot for Manly and has significant upside
17 D.Walker $377k - After being burned by centre trades this year I want one with job security. Walker's drop in average was due to injury not form so is most likely to bounce back
18 Simonsson $246k - Will have a starting spot in Cotric's absence at close to base price
19 $228k
20 $228k
21 $228k
Some others of interest are CHT, Watson, Schuster, Liddle, JRey, Leniu, Blore, Bullemor
Interesting to see how guys like Ryan James, Jack Bird, Bukuya, Kris, Billy Smith who missed the entire season are priced

I doubt I start with him as well. Still hasn't had a "down" game due to HIA or injury to bring his starting price down. Think I would rather a Cook at a 65 average, or a Taumalolo at a 61 average and bank the difference

You've got me dude. Unless Cleary has a field day it's all you. Well done. I'm just hoping for a decent week and i might sneak into L1 for next year, sitting middle of the pack at 7th there.

I think a new coach is what the team needs. I actually prefer him playing around the 55-65 minutes mark from a fantasy POV. I think a new coach and culture can get the best out of the Broncos and he will be a set and forget 65+ average for the year.

There's going to be fanhub bumps to player pricing (plus whatever potential changes to squad makeup), so I am not going to look seriously at teams for next year.
Tino will be an interesting one, he's done so well this year that his 2021 price will be awkwardly high, even if he does look like he'll go well at Gold Coast

No fan of Paseka? Priced around the same as Lodge, bound to take up AFB's role (50 minutes per game), average of 45.5 from games starting at prop.

Could be similar to the likes of Papenhuyzen who had a decent campaign the season prior

Yeah not until prices are released and we see some trial teams for me.
Then I'll attempt to resist even entering a squad until after TLT R1*
The offseason is for lower maintenance activities like FPL and NFL draft comps, I guess I might talk to my family as well, not sure yet
*this almost certainly won't happen

I like to put down some ideas while the lessons learned are fresh in my mind, then I pretty much ignore everything until the game opens

Bazooka retired.
I am keen to see the likes of Aitken (Warriors), Cotric (Bulldogs), Arrow (Rabbits), Tamou (Tigers), Waddell (Bulldogs), Evans (Warriors), Frizell (Knights), Ese’Ese (Titans) at their new clubs and the types of ramifications it has on their current club with new players coming in.
Also keen on Dominic Young. WFB/CTR the Knights signed from England. 198cm so he is a walking tower. Apparently he has great footwork and is super physical. Can see him displacing the likes of Hunt on the wing.

Agree. Already decided that I probaly won't start with him next year.

Just love watching guys who have spent most their careers in the forwards having their moment of glory with a kick for goal. Hindy, Gallen, Surgess, Gooper etc

Apparently Kyle Feldt has ruled himself out of Origin contention. He has some groin problems he wants to get fixed for next year?
