Current team is:

Brailey, Liddle
SST, Welch, Jensen, Stefano
Crichton, Harris, Riki, James, Fuimaono, Davey
Cleary, Lam, Milford, Watson
Capewell, Laurie, Bird, Niu
Teddy, Latrell, Papy, Isaako, Moylan

One trade locked in is Lam -> Schuster, gives me $227.2k in the bank.  

Not having Fifita seems like a big problem, is it worth going Welch -> Fifita (via James)?  

Or sticking to Davey -> someone like Young, Sitili, Arrow, Sutton or iPap?

I have made 4 trades prior to this week

Bringing in Jackson, Collins, Keary and Tapine

All 4 of them are now out injured/suspended. I don't think I have ever had such bad luck with trading before. Pretty much killed my season (at least in terms of getting overall glory), going to be hard to come back from that.

Looks like you have nice options there. Second options gives you a wide range of nice scenarios, but Fifita might trump all of those so probably worth the effort? Although, then your second starting FRF is pretty weak, so maybe best to do with one of your second options.

Ouch. That is some brutal bad luck.

I've dropped really steadily in the rankings in this thing after a really strong first week. I'm assuming it's largely due to people looking for potential keepers immediately instead of cows, so we'll see how it pans out.

Will sit on Edwards. Bought Scott and James in last week. Ouch. But it gave me plenty ITB for this weeks trades.
Was Going to get rid of Moylan but his DPP sways me to keep him. So trades are Liddle/Simonsson to Schuster/Cleary.

really want to bring in Schuster but who to get rid of? Croker, Liddle or Milford?

Dump Croker, he has the lowest long term scoring potential

I lost Keary so I'll trade him to Schuster and bring Haas in early. To hell with it

Really wanted Big Tui in this due to his consistent minutes and scoring but I've fallen $20k short, so going Gosi to Stefano for a cash grab instead.

Ouch. Only way I could get Schuster in this week was to punt Townsend after it looked like he was on the decline.

Who are you going to captain this week? I can’t decide between Teddy or Paps! Best start ever, in 16th. No need for any trades, however, Walker sitting out is really annoying me. Surely he never plays origin again so is a lock for Rd 13. So tempted to bring in Luai this week, for similar reasons. Idle thumbs!

Who would you play as my 2nd half = Milford or Schuster or Sam Walker. Cheers.

Out of those two options, I would be going Papy - purely based on who their respective opposition is this week.

I'm languishing in about 500th position, so take this with a grain of salt.....but any Origin planning still feels a bit premature to me.

We have what 8 scoring rounds before the bye, so if you potentially select a sub-optimal player based on Rd 13 availability, that's a lot of points to be giving up between now and then for a possible Rd 13 score.

That's also a lot of footy to be played and time for injuries/form to determine who will be playing SOO and who will even be available for Rd 13.

Not to mention, there is up to 16 potential trades (plus an additional 4 in Rd 13) that can be made between now and then to formulate your team for the bye.

Personally I probably won't ever consider Rd13 availability until about Rd 10, just so my trade selections aren't poorly influenced and affected over 8 rounds purely for the benefit of one round.
That should give me up to 10 trades when I have more certainty over SOO, which I feel will be more than enough to field a competitive Rd 13 team.

Yeah so long, long story short - Walker and Luai both a chance of playing SOO, so I would just pick who you think will score more prior to then.

Kind of the same as WL’s question- in this case Alvaro is the steady choice and Walker for risk/reward.

Yeah true that. Thanks man. Have had a very slow start compared to other years so am second guessing myself more than usual
