Potential that it could disrupt the start of the season if it continues longer than the 5 days, which is likely.

I had assumed that Storm players had moved to QLD again for preseason training, but according to this article they are still in Victoria. https://www.nrl.com/news/2021/02/12/seven-storm-all-stars-ruled-out-due-to-covid-19-border-closure/

I am thinking McCullogh is likely not to go to the Dragons now.
Does this mean that Billy Brittain or Ben Hunt become the new must haves?

With the speed of the play I can see Macca sustaining his avg of 53 tackles a game that he had last year.
He’s priced at 54, I could see him averaging around 59-60 over 80mins.
I just re-organized my team to try to fit both in. With all the other players that I really want, will need to hope for a number of $228k to $246k players being available at TLT. Fortunately TLT always seems to throw up a few surprise cheapies (currently have place-holders for 6 of them).

What has changed for Robson? Has Payten said something in an interview?
Or you just think without McInnes as an option people might look for a new hooker?

If they don't sign McCullough they'd surely sign someone as a first grade hooker (Peats maybe. Have Broncos signed Levi yet, they could try and snatch him)

If Lolo is playing 50-60 minutes (vs full 80 sometimes), and they sub on an edge during the game as well, which is likely if someone like Hess is on the bench, that is 7 of 8 subs used, with just 1 remaining for injury or other use. Likely to have an 80 minute hooker in this scenario.
At Warriors he was playing an 80 minute lock, so had the flexibility to have a hooker on the bench.

Broncos have the upper hand in negotiations now so you’d think they’d try a bit harder to keep him or pay less of his contractmattnz wrote:

I thought he might have averaged that BEFORE McInnes got injured. He averaged 65 last year taking out the injury game. The hookers for the Dragons last year averaged 75 (McInnes) and 62 (Hunt).

If it makes you feel any better water is not wet, it just makes things wet. I don’t get it, my 14 yo tried to explain it to me!Snatchpato wrote:If blokes are getting injured left right and centre in just the preseason this year, this year will be all about picking the uninjured guys.
Edit: I've just reread that post and in other news, water is wet.

Taumalolo played 80 minutes zero times last year. They used 2 subs on him every week.
It's a new coach who presumably has his own way of doing things. It would be more interesting if Payten/coaching staff had made some comment on how they planned to use Robson/Granville/Cotter
As it is, not enough information to work out how useful he might be (and if it does look good in round 1, have to then hope it stays like that into future rounds)
