Whats the rules for this? Everyone starts with the same team, but captaincy choices and trades are up to the coach and see who can manage the squad the best?

Yep everyone has the same 21 R1, but can pick different captains and 17s for that round. After that can do what you like.

In as The Eels Faces, as usual.

Seems like a ripper team with nothing urgent to amend for R2 bar the backline a tad, but even that's not bad. Massive bank too. Very nice start.

There's also going to be one big choice on who to leave in the EMG for week one. One player I'd prefer to play will have to miss out.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. A red dot is bound to come along to make the choice nice and easy for you. Just as long as it isn't Watson

I think the team we're all going with has been customised a bit to minimise red dots and spend more cap.

When I made the autofill team, I always swapped a few players around because the autofill algorithm stacks you with too many $228k red dots.

Looks like Moanaman did something similar here, which is good. Its a better way to run things with a bunch of mid range plodders rather than guns and cheapies

That's exactly what I did, 14-21 were filled with 228K. It also had Cleary, Tedesco, Crichton and Cook.....

Good move changing things up, team is much better this way

Signed up this morning. Team name FalconSloth. I always like how these autofill teams turn out as they are normally better than expected and you end up getting some of those subgun and mid-rangers which turn into guns. Last year I managed to be one brainfade of 1st place for a round as I went into a game thinking I had looped in Rudolf for HTF but it turned out I forgot and ended up like 10 points off first place
