I just re-watched the Bulldogs game. Waddell really had a shocker. If RFM is fit, I would be surprised if he gets an edge.robelgordo wrote:
I’ve got Fifita and Riki atm. I’m not as keen on Crichton as the crowd atm... will probably capitulate and get him in the end.
Waddell I’m not convinced. It feels like RFM and Elliot are the favoured edges.

Think you are wrong on this one. The argument for Milf is because he has multiple seasons of 50+ average. Priced at 31
Cotric never been above 38 in a season and priced at 37. Far easier to expect Milf to elevate over Cotric

Just remember all the posts last season on FB etc about buying Milf as bottomed out. Was like Qanon predictions waiting for Trump to become 19th President. Just you wait...

Cotric never been over a 38 average in 4 seasons. Has a CTR average lower than his wing average but now miraculously mooted to average 40-45 because of kick returns? Some player find their fantasy footing later in life but a 38, 38, 27, 37 season spread settles it for me
Bird, Roberts, Hopo, Momo all cheaper and I believe offer better points per $$

Teddy analysis:
priced at 850k
BE: 63
usual fluctuation: 678k to 920k
1st opponent: Manly SeaEagles
I contemplated starting without him and pick him up once he drops to 750k or so, but Manly were so atrocious in the trial, I can see Teddy starting with a bang.

History doesnt mean anything when a player has a new role at a new club. I don't recall the last time a center was also the kick returner. Will have lots of ball in hand and be a pinball, fending players off. Racks up TBs really fast when being played normally, let alone in this hybrid position.
His coach is the guy that co-ordinated Crichton getting so many tries in the same left center position, but he also has this huge work rate and unusual "best of both worlds" position that the club have created just for his talents, as their key star signing.

Not bagging the cotric pick just don’t see a large uptake in him other than feelings he will go boom.
Paying for what you get and at most a slight discount.
Players with track records returning from injury/role/poor form at least there is some history.
Would rather take a cheaper calculated gamble personally and if he is killing it buy later in the year.
My opinion of course

That’s fine and he might score extra points off some kick returns. But I’d rather punt on cheaper already underpriced options rather than hoping for a score uptickmattnz wrote:

On the Dogs forum they’re caning him to get his shit together, but the talk is he will definitely start.

I'm heading to the Roosters game on Saturday
If there was even slight doubt I'm not picking Teddy, it's definitely removed by that as there's no way I'm watching him live and not having him in my team

Bit concerned about Cookoosing his 80min status with Benji named on bench. Presumably did Souls roll with a 4 man big bench last year? If they play a utility could be good news for themes of Kolo/Host getting a full 80 on the edge.

And yet Milford has averaged more than cotric every year but last.
Even last years disaster there was only 4 pts average between them
I don’t even want Milford but as you mentioned him who do you reckon averages more this year?

Highly unlikely benji affects cooks mins in any meaningful way tbh

Heading out and was just wanting to rile you up, but it's an interesting topic so I'll try come back to it with some better discussion when I have the time. I will say I don't think looking at his CTR average is a very fair assessment even if you ignore the team change
How many consecutive 80 min games are you basing that CTR average off?

I think Milford is playing for a new contract as well, he will improve on field and in fantasy, question is how much though......
If someone told me yep went to Broncos training he’s calling all the shots getting his hands on the ball demanding it being the dominant half and putting long kicks in I’d be all over him.

So based on his new role in the trial, how many kick return metres and total metres did he actually do?
Can’t say I have checked them due to trials, but am I missing some huge outlier?
