For me, I don't really care as much about overall points but rather h2h matchups (in a pretty competitive league with mates) so keep that in mind. Also chose to drop Bird and just start Averillo instead to free up some cash. Team seems to be fairly cookie cutter but just feel like there are a few potential upgrades yet. Any help is appreciated fellas  Beating Heart

    Angus (C), Tino, Watson

    Teddy Papi Laurie

    Gosiewski, Croker, Niu, Simonsson

Like Mattnz pointed out, if you are thinking of Crichton as C, then there's no reason to pay premium for Cleary.
If your focus is H2H, then it's a different game to overall points.
No need to go for the maximum points from the start - your goal should be building the most cash and saving the required trades for the finals so you can have an absolute gun team.

Hold off Teddy and Cleary; buy them after Origin.
Go with sub-guns who can score points and will make you cash.
The usual super-cows are already identified - perhaps you need to look at players who have an opportunity to make quick coin due to injuries and increased role, or (in with the famously dud 2020 Milf) a player who you can see an obvious upside.

    Milf in the halves.
    Lam or Brooks
NAS or Welch at Storm for 5-6 weeks
The Dragons middles who will get extra minutes

Most of your team is solid.

How on earth did Gosiewski play at prop for 61mins in round 14 last year, score a try, and manage to score 9 Fantasy points? How is this even possible?

James Hooper - "Smith deserves to be remembered as a champion – but not as one of the great blokes".

Christian Welch (White Rhino) - "Out of all deserving journo's for limited jobs in Aus we've got this bloke leaching away. @FOXNRL you should be embarrassed".

    Get in my team Welchy!

Ah, I think I actually vaguely remember that... even with my fishbowl memory. Explains an underwhelming score, but I'm still struggling to wrap my head about a 9, including a try. Wink

If they both get +80pts I want both regardless which one I captain

Yep Crichton and Cleary first two picked for me. Need a good C and VC options. Teddy was my 3rd pick but the lack of 246k options, and questions marks over the actual scoring ability of the likes of host, gosi, crocker etc meant ive had to sacrifice him and run papy, rts and Laurie.

Although i keep second guessing not starting with him

Yeah, I kinda don't get the "you should have one but not the other" argument... Like wtf? You'll want both in your team at the end so for the sake of 150k (the value of a trade) why not have both to begin?

Of course team balance can be argued and whatnot but I'm defs starting with both.

Out of my big list I am leaning towards Host and Welch + money ITB but I am worried about them both playing on Thursday so I can't change. Could be a good thing I guess

Do you plan to boot out RTS for Ponga or Teddy after origin? Would probably have to be Ponga after origin and slot in Teddy some time before during a slump because it's likely the Knights will be fighting for a top 8 spot by then whereas Teddy is pretty much guaranteed to miss a game post-origin.

I played with that idea then decided I had to sacrifice elsewhere to start with both Teddy and Pap. Teddy kicking in the trial after SST went off is also interesting but I'm not convinced it's sustainable

Your participation in draft leaves a bit to be desired

    Tossing between Welch and Tino

Also tossing whether my 18-21 is good enough. Reimis, Stefano, Niu, Moylan

Just makes me want to vomit

Trading RTS after origin to ponga would be a luxury trade. Im hoping RTS is good enough to keep full season. Will definitely need to get teddy in at some stage

Have you got Turpin at hooker mate?

18-21 just needs to be cheap, make money and cover positions in your squad. This qualifies.

Those choosing between tino and Welch, watch tinos try from the other week. Does welch have a 50m run away try in him. I think there’s the answer, banner potential
