I ended up with him just for DPP cover for MID/EDGE. I don't really like it but best I could come up with. See what pans out with his role. Will be 18th man this week pending how bad Croker goes at 17 (another choice I don't like!).

Corey Parker used to be aware of his supercoach scores.

Like that Warriors lock from a few years ago. Can't even remember his name that's how unmemorable he was.

I think you are referring to Warriors legend John Palavi.

TK on his podcast made a really interesting case for starting with Keary. Will be watching how much extra defence he has to do and keeping track of his KM closely. Might see quite a big uptick from him.

    Also on players playing SC/fantasy

They have to be aware. Any one of them with a twitter/instagram profile must get constantly bombarded with idiots planning supercoach teams asking them what their minutes are going to be this year

    Shall be interesting.

Lam said the other day it didnt matter what number was on his back, he was going to be playing the same role anyway.

Keary to right this year makes sense regardless of who partners him, but it does make more sense with Lam being a left footer. Swapping sides was the only option

It does take the pressure off the youngster though. Whoever wears the 7 always cops the flak if team is going poorly. Keary old enough to handle that from the media

I really dont know Turpin or Lam..

I really think Keary steps up more this year and also I think broncos will be tackling all year again so Turps will benefit from that in base stats alone

Truthfully I think they are both really good options. It's hard to splilt them even based on their price point IMO.

I'm downgrading Teddy to RTS to free up cash. I'm fine with this to be honest as I feel RTS is gonna have a huge year and just gotta pray Teddy has a few quiet games. Will allow me to upgrade host to a capewell or something next week aswell.

wolfking wrote:Was looking at downgrading Lam but his two starts last year at halfback netted 63 points for one game and the game he got injured after 28 minutes, scored 26.  He's worth keeping based on that and being next to Keary.  Keary will no doubt take a bigger role but even with a small sample size, he looks the goods early.

This is why trying to boost your cash reserves to buy players who excelled in round 1 is risky & it rarely works because you sell player a to some cheap crap player & player a in amalgamation with the fantasy gods makes you regret it. Sure you get your intended target but it puts your team balance out of whack because you have a weak 17th man.

seems unlikely, without any research, I'd wager Griffin benches have the least played minutes in the NRL era and 2nd place isn't close, i reckon he only uses it because 'i've been given these eight interchanges so I guess I better do something with them', I'm more comfortable with the idea that Fui gets enough minutes to do something than I am Alvaro

Yeah, and Lam as my 17th man looks solid and changing that to Croker or Fui just to get the cash for a Latrell will burn in the long run.

I want to give them both a week to look. I think im more keen to start with Turpin as at least he'll have tackles to boost him up and go from there

I feel this is going to go the same way as the time Vaai Taumalolo told us that's what he wanted to be called and that didn't even last the length of the nines comp.

Might go in the big call thread and say that Fui will outscore his fellow low 300s new lock Connor Watson.

(seriously through, I obviously have him but half expect Watson to be out of the team or on the bench by round 5)

Wouldn't be surprised to see fitgibbon back to 2nd row when fit and barnett to lock, watson to bench but watson will still be getting 50 minutes then and probably just swap some tackles for some TBs in less minutes IMO. Perfect for the high energy small lock role

Nah but seriously I think he has JS with Ford not even in 17 whether at edge/middle

Bird to forwards talk has died down since he said he only wants to play CTR after trial but who knows what Griffin will do
