Guyssss trust your instincts. This has been intense and depressing reading today after only 80 minutes of the season. Chopping and changing NPRs is a highway to nothing. Just rock with it. The same shit happens every year. Croker might suck. But he might also go well. The same as Stefano. Avo. Moylan. *Insert name here*. Relax.

Shameless plug for something a mate whipped up this morning:

Green is due back before Ponga. First cab off the rank is Mann.StormTrooper96 wrote:
Me too and I took him out of my team… but thinking more about it I have the following reasons to bring him back in
- he has looked damaging at his two stints at FB without scoring tries so it is purely a points grab compared to someone like Gos/Roberts
- Ponga is 4-6 weeks. 4 weeks the cash isn’t too great, 6 weeks the cash is alright.
- With a decent early draw if he has a big game that cash rise is worth it
- He could find a spot on the wing, centre, bench and you can ride a few more price jumps after his FB stint
- One injury to a half or outside back and he is first cab off the rank.
- If Barnett gets HIA/injury/misses a few kicks Tex takes the Tee.
If you were unlucky enough to end up with Tex on the bench, it is worse than out of the side, averages 14 off the bench, so needs to be a fast trade out before any cash increases evaporate.
The only starting position that Tex has ever played in is fullback, others like Toa have always had an opportunity ahead of him when a guy like Lee is out.

Feels like tonight is the night that decides the outcome of my opening round. 7 players (4 of them Broncos) and none of them guns (except for Milf ) should make for some interesting watching.

My Predictions tonight:
Hoy is dismal and stumbles his way to 38. Barnett appears a gun, with GK and Frizell scores a double.
Averillo thrives alongside Flanagan and is BOG in a losing golden point game
Broncos stun everyone with a convincing win – Riki Double, Croft has a blinder, Niu chips in with a nice 34, Lodge goes 50+ and Turpin looks a gun. Moses struggles.

Don't do this to me!
I'm really keen to see how Averillo goes. I didn't own him last year, which worked out ok in the end, but I remember a few flashes of brilliance that were making me really nervous about not having picked him up.
Barrett spoke highly of him in the pre match presser (what coach doesn't speak highly of their players), but just liked what he said about him being a real footballer, can play anywhere, good kicking game, etc.
I'm not expecting anything major but always like to see new guys go around.. Dogs in general with new coach and so many changes should be interesting.

TBH, the one you feel like watching/cheering on. Both are similar in their prospects. Hard to see either being a disaster. Decision probably won't have a huge effect on the fantasy year, and you can't predict bad luck through injury.

I also didn't own him last year but he seemed very keen to get his hands on the ball. I also remember seeing him make a break on the edge once and thinking, holy fuck he is a lot faster than I thought he would be. Keen to see how he goes, apparently he prefers half so should be good to see him where he feels comfortable.

Will be good and bad at the same time this afternoon for QLDers... Get the final teams at 4pm but game starts at 5pm so will have to listen on the radio.

I have both Averillo and Cotric, so looking forward to seeing them strike up a good combinationmy tv broke wrote:

I stupidly agreed months ago to go out to a fundraiser tonight, not realising it was the first Friday Night Football of the season.

Footy is back! Got so excited last night I fell asleep and missed the second half
Good to see Munster scored 50+ however can't rely on him scoring a try to achieve it.
Pap is a beast who i knew I should've gone with
Arrow looking tempting as he is a ppm machine.

SO.. Captained Cook last night, a couple beers after a whole day of work (With my mate jimmy "Blackwinx" reminding me of my decision whenever he could) and im starting to be okay with it. Time heals all fantasy wounds.
