One reason, is that if I make an excuse to trade now when it's not essential, I might just continue that pattern. Another is that on many occasions I have made an early unnecessary trade only to have it backfire. A third is that I want to trade to someone that has an excellent potential for money making rather than someone who I'm just hoping will be a great cow. That being said, I will make up my mind about trades this week after the team lists come out.

Sort of following a pattern there potentially     NRL Fantasy 2021 Part 15 - Let the raging begin - Page 40 1f500

Yep, the pattern of waiting for team lists and I suppose even the not following of a pattern is a pattern in itself.

I'm most curious about what The Sea Eagles do, and I don't have Croker anyway. Cust and or Schuster appearing somewhere and what Croker role is. It's only a week so maybe not as much change as I think.

Pompey comes in, forward pack unchanged. Looks like we'll be seeing this Warriors forward structure for a while.

    Bayley looks sensual, tempting, sleek.

I had my eyes on the Bayley, but came 3k short.

Not, but looking down the team lists menu it seems you can order a Bayley and Koala Smoothy.

Wouldn't mind that as an option/temptation.

Huh?  You just said you wanted to conserve trades and not use them haphazardly?!

wolfking wrote:Any reason people are trying to conserve trades after 1 round? Usually first few weeks you burn through them to fix any errors and grab some cows.  Granted, cows are a bit skinny this year but they are there to use.

One of the thingsabout round 1 this year is that there are not many if any obvious cheap players that must be traded in. And there are not many cheapies that are obvious failures. A lot of sub $300k players scored 20-30, and those that went higher did so on the back of a try.
Those that did worse (eg Bird) are still fit and its very knee jerk to trade them out after 1 week (especially without an obvious replacement)

So besides needing to replace Lodge with another middle, and the people who missed Brailey wanting to get him in, there aren't many obvious trades to be made. No one wants to spend time shuffling cheapies around just for the sake of it.

Fair call. Figured as much this was the deal.

I'd love it if they introduced an EPL style system where you could use extra trades, but pay something like 40 points to do so.

Lodge for anyone I can afford under 500k is the only real decision I need to make and there are a lot of options

I just like having options. It makes things interesting. In regards to trades, I've been trade happy from round 1 since I started playing fantasy, but I was just answering the question that was posed. I also don't have any injured players this week, so don't need to trade.

I don't play the other fantasy games coz I just like this one and I don't want to change fantasy. I'd just like to have some side games/tangents within the current fantasy. So, I play the normal one and then you tangent off into a side comp where for example you can use 4 trades instead of three. And multiple such side comps. Just to increase the amount of fantasy that I can play while playing the fantasy that I like.
