Times like this its good to check out community team voting

    https://www.nrlfantasyfanatics.com/t1576-rd-2-trades

As of now, 12 people want Leniu compared to 2 for Alvaro

They are a pretty similar price so its a fairly clear statement that Leniu seen as the better option. Whether they are right or not is yet to be seen

Haha, I was part of the Lam Losers. Didn't trust in the MILF. Even worse, I grabbed Capewell on the bench over him. I'm going to give Cape another run this weekend and then most likely trade rage him out next Tuesday (as soon as lock out lifts) to a lovely player like Ofa/Milf/Schmokey.

I’m not a Capewell fan but he struck a bit of fear into me last weekend seeing there was a bit of forum buzz around him. Zero to be concerned about there in a relatively weak position

I thought he was in for a big game. Disappointing second half. Looking closely though, no Panther had big minutes. Even Yeo only had 3 more minutes than Capewell. Will be interesting to watch the rotations over the next few weeks.

Just looked at holding Lodge & trading Croker out for Alvaro to cover Mid for this week (and then 'rotate' with Lenui for that spot until Lodge returns).....food for thought

If ur content to have Milf as a final 17 then opt for Milf. I'm going Chad as see him making more money and then jump to a keeper or rising potential keeper when Sj comes back. Don't want Milf in my final 17 at all.

I'm considering it, but it's probably the worst option for my team balance (as would likely come in for Host and affect Edge cover).

    My thoughts are:

Alvaro is a plodder - He's busy in defence but not particularly effective (often 2nd or 3rd man in).
He offers little in attack/metreage and doesn't pass the eye test... BUT...
    ...
... he never really has passed the eye test and yet has played 96 matches.
The Dragons/Griffin still recruited him knowing what they will get, and immediately put him in their 17.
He's also 27 which is an age that they say middles often peak.

The good thing about Alvaro (aside from the way he gets cheap fantasy points) is that I think you know exactly what you're going to get from him.
He's consistent and brings energy (even if not the most talented player).
Maybe that suits Griffins expectations, someone who brings a bit of energy into the middle of the game?

Griffin said in the press conference that he was okay with most of the match against Cronulla aside from conceding 14 points early on at the start.
That all happened prior to Alvaro coming on, and the score was 14-12 when Alvaro had finished his stint (I think Griffin would be relatively happy with that period of the game).

Alvaro was essentially first interchange along with Poasa (when the penalty was taken to bring up 14 points for the Sharks).
They may have been brought on a little earlier due to Griffin wanting to change the momentum a bit?
Played through to about 20 minutes to go. Seems likely he'll get in that 30-40 minute range (and should be about 1PPM).
Currently priced at 23.9, so should gain somewhere between $100-200k IF he holds his spot.

The main threats to his spot seem to be Kaide Ellis or Jackson Ford coming in and pushing Kerr/Sims into the middle?

Don't really understand why you need to have milf in your final 17 but can trade out Chad? Milf is a great candidate, he plays the plays the first bye round and will make decent cash up until then. Easy offload to who ever pops up around that time. Townsend is a trade out once SJ comes back.

Disclaimer, i started with the Milf and in the WAG's team i started with both Milf and Townsend.

Yeah I don't have Cleary either. Thinking either Fifi or Teddy. Probs leaning towards Fifi atm running at milf and riki should be perfect for us owners

Tough to know who to get this week. I feel like Lodge and Host have to go but I would like to chuck Croker as well but that might have to wait a week. At this point I am doing Lodge/Host to Ofa/Leniu but I am debating back and forth like most people if I should bring Alvaro or Davey or a couple of the other guys in the price bracket.

Would you say Ofa is worth the higher price than the others?

I have a feeling Koloa just walks into the same shitty Host role... whereas I think Davey can take this opportunity by the nuts and kick on.

    Lodge > Leniu
    Host > Davey
    +52K

If Davey/Koloa score 50 they only really go up 25-30K.

Also thinking of grabbing LAM with his low BE and PPM beastness + ability to play mid and waiting on Davey/Koloa to see who shines.

If we had news that Lodge was more 1 week than 2 I would consider holding him.

Davey is a great shout. If i needed the edge player he would be straight in, seems like a player who will average in the 40's if the mins come his way. Likely into my team next week.

Is fair for him to be a tier above due to that bench makeup if nothing else

He’s very exposed though Ofa and has never really done it. Not surprised by him getting the odd 60 though. Safe to say most of these other names being discussed don’t have a 60 in them anytime soon

But if I go down to Leniu, I can go up to BSiro

I think I’ve decided but interested in opinions
I've gone with Fui. He got about 50 mins in the middle and another 10mins on Edge with Kerr's HIA. I think he's good for an avg of 40 points in that role. At his price that is not bad for an Edge player with not many options out there.
    Also Milford looked good.
I might pick up Davey next week.
I like Bsiro but was 3k short on getting him in for Lodge. The Fui trades leaves me with 109k itb for next week's trade.
I already have Leniu and Milf

I have read all the excitement on Leniu, Kolo, Alvaro, Fui, LAM... nothing about RJ... Prob for a reason but he is nicely priced. Is he a no-go or is it just that the other names will make more money?

    Random question about Panthers interchange.

Eisenhuth goes off at 50 minutes for an HIA.

At 62:41 he comes back on for Leniu (just after Yeo's try) with a free interchange for HIA cleared

Then at 72:50 Leniu comes back on for Eisenhuth for a free sub as "HIA cleared"
But Leniu didn't go off for an HIA, and Eisenhuth wasn't going off for a 2nd headclash.
Does anyone know what is going on - is it just a mis-labelling of the sub from NRL match centre?

Just watched the relevant parts on replay and you can't see the sub being made to see what card the interchange guy was holding.

Just before Eisenhuth comes back from his HIA, Leniu has the ball stripped by Morgan. They get a penalty and go down the other end and score. Leniu doesn't touch the ball after having it stripped but does follow the play. Did the Panthers manage to rort an HIA sub for him from the tackle where he had the ball stripped?

Was just looking to try and work out what the HIA's did to Leniu's minutes, as last week was easily the most he'd ever played in first grade, and want to guess if HIAs increased or decreased his time on the park.
Him getting back on for that last stint looked like just a regular sub, but system claims it was a free interchange? Would he have got that stint if they had to use a sub on him?
