Kaufusi facing a 3 game ban for making a tackle. Yes it is horrible what happened and yes he made contact with the head but it was all in the motion of a legal tackle. These things will happen in our game. Ridiculous! If this is how they are judging this then every tackle where a players arm first makes contact with the shoulder then slips up the head should be a ban? (I know this isn't what has happened in this case but just using this as an example)

Watching it I thought the damage came from contact with the ground kaufusi trying to control the ball and just unlucky

He would've got knocked out without the elbow with the force his head hit the ground. Just my opinion but if Matterson gets up and plays the ball we aren't having this conversation.

Mate, there's a clear bias there.

Kaufasi has tackled him, then lines up his elbow and draws it back to make sure it makes contact. There was no "in the motion of the tackle"

And if Kaufasi didn't illegally elbow someone in the head we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Yeah, that was ugly from Kaufusi IMO.

I'm Sweden. 2-3 weeks warranted. No malice though on replays from behind, looks like he was trying to push the ball out with his forearm and it has gone wrong. High risk play though and certainly careless /reckless and he needs a rest, even just so Rabbit's tinfoil hat stops buzzing.

Don't think Felise's go is dirty stuff. He knew straight away he kooked up.

Host to Davey seems like a no-brainer.

Leaves me to decide who to bring in for Lodge: Leniu, Fui or someone else. Tentatively leaning Fui

Pretty much this. I don't think you can come down with elbow on someones head, with force, and not get some kind of suspension these days. Concussion is too big of an issue to let it slide.

In this instance, I don't think it caused the concussion, but it is still an incident that warrants a suspension, imo.

I was going to trade Gos to Alvaro, but I suppose the go is to give the 'ski another chance?

Same trades for me. Had Alvaro in all week but today Fui has found his way in.. Not confident on either

I disagree punishment sufficient well done NRL as long as they’re consistent.

I find that really interesting that you didn't think it caused the concussion. I've looked at the video a few times this morning, he's going at quite a normal pace towards the ground and it's the contact to the head that speeds that up and then causes the bounce. Especially in slow mo you can see how quickly that changes.

Just rewatched and youre right. I thought he was being slammed regardless, but if kaufusi doesnt get his elbow into that position and make the second effort to slam down, i highly doubt he winds up concussed

Because Davey is 40K dearer than Leniu would it be smarter to grab him this week? Surely it's a no brainer 369K second rower likely to get 80 minutes outweighs a 327K bench forward?
