So I’ve got Niu in EMG and Roberts and Averillo in my 17. If Roberts isnt ruled out tomorrow do you guys think it might be a good idea to trade him out for Suaalii so I can get Nius score instead? Gives me extra cash for next week trades too cos maybe I could do a straight swap from Milf/Lam to IPap for instance. I guess it depends if we think Suaalii is going to get a run sooner rather than later. Pretty far fetched idea and I’ll probably chicken out but what do you guys think?

Just caught up on last night.

Pretty mixed. Happy with Riki, was a bit surprised that DiFi didn't go even bigger with 2 tries tbh but can't complain about 73. Expected to log in and see 90+. Niu also excellent though he's sitting in my EMG. Wouldn't mind Roberts being a late scratching...

The downside is Tino, Turpin, Milf. Tino is getting the minutes but you have to be worried about 13 missed tackles in the first two weeks.

Turpin is a shame but not too worried, the tackle count was really low overall with only Rein going 40+.

The Milf giveth and the Milf taketh away I suppose. Anyone know what's going on with KM though? 227 being a match high seems odd. Is that a glitch or just an outlier game? I doubt that happens every week so he probably gets another chance.

I am 6/363 but I have a few of my weaker players still to play. I am having to play Stefano along with Davey and Leniu who ae players I am a little nervous about. Some 40s from them would be nice.

I might go through with it too I think.  Leniu would be fine to play in Tinos place since he'll score similar it seems.  I want to trade Tino too so it's sounding good.

Yeah, fuck it, I'm doing this. Leniu looks like a weapon and dumping Roberts for a genuine cash cow which is looking hard to come by this season seems like a good move. Leniu looks dangerous and will crash over for a few tries.

Tons of errors meant nobody got to kick much I guess. I turned off the last half hour of the match but there was a tweet about how the kick metre stats for the match were unusually low across the board by usual standards.

I wouldn't do it if Niu scored 100. Burning a trade and killing a position for 40 points in madness

NRL Fantasy 2022 Part 18 - The answer, was to not Milf - Page 6 Empty Need a POD asap

Post by Bumders Sat Mar 20, 2021 11:56 am

So I'm 81 up once both of our loop players hit our totals. He has Teddy (C) and Townsend, I have Koala... otherwise the rest of our scoring players are the same.
I am under the pump and dont think i will survive the week as it stands without divine intervention. I have two options to create a POD.

    A)  Laurie to Simonsson
    B)  Liddle to Davey
    C)  Both
    D)  No POD

    Thanks in advance!!

My main disappointment from last night wasn't Milf, Tino, or having Riki in my EMG....it was missing out on a 4 page BOOM party Bang

I’ve been doing some thinking (dangerous!) about last night and have come up with the following:

    Turpin
    - Had a quiet game, but I think this is more a byproduct of playing the Titans than being a poor fantasy asset. The Titans have some awesome runners of the ball in Fifita, Tino, Mo, and even Wallace, and these blokes have a tendency/preference to run at the edges, rather than down the guts. What it results in is lower tackle counts from opposition middles, as seen last week with the most tackles made by Tohu Harris, who was mostly defending on the edge marking up Fifita. I wouldn’t expect any middle defender to rack up a lot of tackles against this Titans outfit, and so I’m not overly concerned with one game from Turpin being below average.
    - The Broncos got pretty much zero ball on the Titans try-line and so Turpin got essential no chance to rack up attacking statistics (TA) by putting a bloke like Glenn or TPJ over. Not the main consideration, however in conjunction with the point above, it should ease concerns as it’s unlikely to be that bad EVERY game.

    Tino
    - The bloke is obviously fiery and an enforcer for the Titans at the moment. He reminds me a lot of what Nathan Brown was like a year or two ago (who has since reigned in his aggression to a nice level). It means he’s often the first in, and this results in a lot of missed tackles, however I have some notes from last night to add.
    - Last night got a little personal. TPJ and Fifita were clearly having a battle, and Tino definitely wanted to flex his muscle too. A lot of his first-in missed tackles were attempting to put big hits on in the back end of the game, and I wouldn’t expect it to get that fiery every week.
    - The last two rounds have involved literally no attacking stats (bar TBs) for Tino. This is a massive factor as a lot of the reason we all got Tino in is because we know he can cross the try-line, or at the very least make mid-field line breaks which we all saw in the trials.
    - Remember we chose Tino for his upside, and trading him out now after two poor weeks might end up being the right call, but it might also mean you miss out on his big games where he can comfortably go 70+. He could very easily average 50+ this year, simply by going rocks and diamonds.

    Fogarty
    - Last night was definitely the worst possible game conditions for Fogarty scoring. There were myriad errors which meant the Titans often didn’t reach the ends of their set, cutting Fogs KM essentially in half.
    - Ash Taylor had a great game (IRL, not fantasy), which meant that he was getting a lot more service than normal, dropping the attacking stats available to Fogarty. He had very little ball in the attacking 20, and when he did he was more of a distributor to Peachey and Ash, which meant he had very little attacking stats.
    - It’s hard to predict when this sort of game will happen, so I’m not too upset that I captained him from a decision standpoint. Obviously the result is bad, but things like this happen, and I would expect this to be an exception rather than the norm.

Disclaimer: I own all of these players so I’m obviously looking for positives to take away from the game. There are definitely negatives to take away from the game, but I’d rather be looking for positives/upside as the cost of trading them out is not just monetary, but also in trades.

Panthers hooker Apisai Koroisau will be sidelined for an extended period after suffering a broken wrist in the team's Round 1 victory over North Queensland Cowboys.
The 28-year-old Fijian international was replaced early in the second half at Panthers Stadium, with scans later confirming the severity of the injury.
Koroisau has undergone surgery and is expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks.
Mitch Kenny is expected to start at hooker in Saturday's NRL clash against the Bulldogs.
