True. But the difference in price is what concerns me. I can live with a 350k player having low scores but Tino at 570k with lazy defense and no attacking opportunities worries me.

Who wants to work out the price difference between NAS and Ipap next week.
Think I’m about 1k short of making the trade I want today and doing NAS—>Ipap next week.

Shit for fantasy but he dominated the donkeys middle mate. Derby game with extra feeling he’ll sure that up in normal games.

So far very decent start for me with 6/336 (once Niu loop is included). Only low score of Turpin and rest 46 and above.

Bit worrying with no Fifita, however I could squeeze him in at expense of Turpin and Lam if Verrills appears next week, basically completing EDG (probably hint of chasing points, but still fairly underpriced on his career 2RF 80 mins). May be better just to be patient again though

It may be unlikely. I think the more pressing trade is Brimson.

I’ve never been an owner till this year and he averages 23 for me. Must average 40 something as a non owner haha

Just no idea what to do with him. Can’t afford Teddy in one trade and don’t want to play WFB roulette so will probably have to stick unfortunately
That’s the worry with spending big on semi tier guns, you need them to fire at the start of the season to try and justify keeping them when much lower priced players are scoring well after tries etc it’s frustrating but I’d back Brimson to finish the season close to his average last season, somewhere between the 46-50 range.

If he loses much more cash there will be a few vultures circling around him for sure

Same with Tino because you know the bigger scores will come eventually

Got out of jail as a non-Fifita owner last night. 2 tries and 8 tbs could easily be a banner the way he plays. Don't think I'll be able to find a way to get him in before Origin so I guess I'll be watching Titans games behind the couch each week. It does make me feel a little better that my alternative (Moses) is averaging 67 without doing too much

Fogarty is already splitting more kick metres with Taylor, with the dominant role lasting exactly one week. May not quite be the discount Mitchell Moses I thought he was

Was pretty certain Peachey was the benficiary of the extra 10 minutes Fifita didn't play last week, unsure if that extra 5 minute stint at the end happens in a game without HIA. Think in this pack he is probably a 30-35 points 40-45 minute guy, exactly what you pay for.

Tino is actually under consideration for my trade in list in future weeks. If he plays 65 minutes like last week the scores will follow. If he plays 55 minutes like this week he is probably appropriately priced. Has a lot of missed tackles where he initiates contact with the ball carrier, but doesn't finish it off. Great for the team not so much for fantasy. Wonder if the enforcer role will continue or if he starts wrapping these tackles up

Brimson's score is the reason I tend to avoid starting with gun WFBs/CTRs. Eventually someone is going to have a few dud games in a row, drop a bunch of cash and be available at 150k discount on starting price. Brimson will be down nearly 70k with a break even of 70+. In a few weeks Moylan/Laurie/Niu will have closed the gap to hopefully make it a 100k trade

I absolutely hate watching Turpin in my team, so uninspiring. Can't wait until he makes his cash so I can move him on

Milford didn't dominate the kicking to an extent I would like this week. This is why I wait an extra week to see if the role change is sustainable. Better to miss a few points, pay an extra 30k than waste a trade on a dud middie (Milford, Sironen)

    McCullough
    SST Fuimaono Watson
    Crichton Riki
    Cleary Townsend
    Roberts Averillo
    Teddy Papenhuyzen Laurie

    Turpin Brailey Lam Liddle

You wont. As a EDG has to cover that spot first. Which is Gosie. You could swap Lam and Crichton if you think he wont get 40 points or want to lock it in.

I'm fairly sure I do, my team is like this now - because none of the relevant players have locked out I can still move them around:
    HOK
    MID
    Gosiewski Riki
    HLF
    CTR
    WFB

    Turpin Brailey Liddle/Lam Crichton
    Niu Liddle/Lam Simonsson Utoikamanu

Yep can only take Niu's points over Liddle or Lam, not the Gos. I've personally just locked in Reimis Smith's 42 over Liddle because I'm concerned about how he will score in 50 minutes vs the Roosters

Yeah as MS said theyre really your only options on who you can grab. I would personally do Lam.

Also MS cant wait for your game breakdowns as I missed yesterdays games.

    Warriors Knights

Tohu once again played a hybrid middle/edge role. Started on the edge with Sironen in the middle until BMM came on. BMM interchange for AFB was a little earlier than I would expect due to AFB calf complaint, so unsure if you want to own Tohu in a 30 edge 50 middle role.

Egan got through the 80 minutes and played one of the best games I've seen from him. Service was improved, defence was good and he looked like he might add a few kick metres through out the year. With no one behind him to take the role he is probably going to make another 150k and should be considered by anyone not loaded up on hookers

Nikorima completely dominated the kick metres again, which IMO makes CHT fantasy irrelevant. If I needed a cash injection I'd be moving CHT on, if not holding and praying for some attacking stats to kick start cash generation.

AFB going off early probably gives non owners a chance to jump on before his price is out of reach. Think he settles into a 60-65 minute role and ends the year in the conversation for 3rd best MID. If he played the first bye rather than the second I'd be grabbing him ASAP

LAM did pretty much what I expected. First middle off the bench, bent the line when he ran and defended well. Think he is locked into that 35-40 minute bench role and normally goes about 1 PPM. Got an extra 7 minutes at the end when Bunty went off. Would normally expect this stint to go to Tevaga or JTB, but Warriors needed a bigger body to contain Knights middles.

Sironen started in the middle again and looked set to become a must have. However second interchange off for Tevaga and then didn't return until ~12 minutes to go. I don't want any part of a 40 minute Sironen.

Not going to go too in depth on Brailey because everyone has him, but he looks like a season long keeper

Knights starting pack of Klemmer, DSaifiti, Sue, Frizell and Barnett are going to dominate some bigger named packs this year. Sneaky under rated and should be right up in the conversation for best pack in the comp. Sue will take the starting role when the Knight's need a bigger body, with Watson taking it against your Cam Murray/Victor Radley types. Barnett with goal kicking might be the guy who elevates from 50>60, but unlikely to keep it and not something that could have been predicted.

Best will end the year as the number 1 fantasy centre and probably plays origin. Speed, power and footwork makes sure he always has plenty of metres. Loves to take hit ups coming out of trouble (hybrid role where you get the hit ups+tbs of a gun WFB + tackles of a centre Razz ). Should have a better floor than most centre and his ceiling is banner territory.

Pearce unsurprisingly dominated kick metres next to the inexperienced Crossland. As long as he keeps this role he is fantasy relevant, but would take someone brave to trade him in.

Watson is built for fantasy. Unless he gets injured or suspended won't be leaving my team all year

JSaifiti is sneaky good as first middle off the bench. He is playing about as good as DSaifiti was in 2019 when he got his origin debut. Awkward price for fantasy, but if he cops a few low scores he could be value.

Hoy played a much better game this week. Returned kicks well, got his hands on the ball and made a few tackles on the goal line that boosted his score. Smokey for the right centre spot once Ponga is back if Mann is not ready. If I owned him I'd hold until the wheels fall off
