Avo is firmly in my EMG at the moment, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say I'm not at all concerned yet. He's played two matches in wretched conditions in strong losses.

But I also owned him as a centre last year and when playing 80, he was pretty good. Good defence, and a bit of flare too when he decided to put the foot down. He's not going to be scoring 50's and 60's, but more than happy to wait until the kid gets a dry track against more forgiving opposition and see what he does. As much as I'll get heckled and e-beaten for this, I still reckon there's a chance he's a keeper in the centre position.

BUT! I am, of course, not going so well with stuff this year so far.

No trades seems to be working out this week. On to you Davey to see what you’ve got.

Also I wish I had kept Josh Jackson in the lineup, oh well Tinos doing real good

Didn't watch so may be off the mark, but my impressions are:

Cleary keeps on keeping on. Leniu slightly underwhelming but his minutes are in the range I expected & he's going at basically PPM so not too stressed.

Avo with 19 RM across two games as a nominal running five-eighth is just baffling. Won't be trading a fit CTR yet but he'll be out of my 17 for Niu.

Momo, Jackson both going on my watchlist as potential underpriced keepers. I was late on Yeo last year & regret it, feel Jackson could be similar this year with huge minutes at lock, will give him serious consideration for Tino this week.

This place is starting to feel like an echo chamber of bad advise, can't stay away because I love reading all the passionate coaches comments, but man am I gonna have to get better a sifting through the bad calls.

Don't know about keeper in the CTR position, but I wouldn't be rushing him out yet. Provides HLF back-up in addition to CTR and is dirt cheap still. Even spuds can hit 50 on their day and should get enough ball to jag something.

Good to see you’re such a strong Croker believer.

He’s going to tackle everything that moves tonight. With the weather as it currently is, that may include his own teammates due to poor visibility

Certainly when I looked at draws at the start of the year, Bulldogs up there with the hardest start. One of the reasons I didn't start with him, also not sure about the Burton thing and if the tough start to the year results in losses then his position is under threat from Wakeham etc. But yeah he's talented. A dry track and some slightly easier oppsition could certainly see some big improvement.

I’d like to see those scores as well, but I’ll be happy if Bird can get 30 this evening.
