I was expecting 35 in 35 minutes for Leniu and 40 in 40 minutes for Alvaro, is why I took Alvaro. People who took Leniu are expecting that his talent will lead to an increased role over time and better job security. Will be more of a slow burn and nothing wrong with that. May prove to be the better choice in time.

Next week Leniu could crash over for a try and Alvaro could cramp up and play 20 minutes and everyone will be taking about how it was so obvious Leniu was the better pick all along.

The Leniu rhetoric is a little tiresome.

He’s a 30-35min bench impact forward. He has no place in fantasy 17s

Dump him in your NPRs as a bottom dollar talent and hope he gets leota’s jumper and mins in due course

Dudes fkn shit. Has little impact but just gets himself around the park and wraps up a lot of tackles.

Tbf both he and Merrin were the dragons best forwards when they came on, in both stints. Fui was also immense in defence

I picked Alvaro because he was the cheapest lol. Proven history of being able to hit scores relative to his minutes helped too.

Last night's performance was just an unexpected bonus.

Alvaro was my trade in for Lodge most of the week but changed to Fui in the end. Still happy with it as I think Fui's role is looking good and the edge coverage is especially handy with Davey out for me now.

60-70 ppg...he's already making 50 odd tackles a game, he can be creative & the odd km's from dummy half should push him over 60 ppg.

Its a week for big NPRs

People who kept Croker probably didn't play him, and a bunch of other bench fodder has gone well this week.
Some people even playing Riki out of their 17 (I admire your EDG depth if you can do this)

More my lack of Mid depth which forced this....wasn’t ever planning to play Lenui in the run on side

Started with Lenui as a long term option and didn’t want to pick up another bench mid (Alvaro) so went for Kolo to plug the gap. Would start make the same decision.
    Great minutes though....will it continue?

This. I brought in Leniu instead of Alvaro/Fui to sit in my NPRs for an extended period because of his job security and inherent value. A 40 would have been a nice bonus but no way he was sticking around in the 17. That was Davey's job!

What’s worse and why I don’t want to see Leniu’s name any more because it was me on Thursday who said to the lads “surely you’re not playing this Leniu in your 17 though”

Then did it myself hahahaha I’m salty

Admittedly it was a late switch Davey to him, to make sure I got Riki’s points so didn’t turn it horribly
Did for you with Davey. Just horrendous luck and a great move. Was kicking myself early in the match after 2 TBs for reversing trades

Yep I agree, just not someone who I'll be able to bring in this season I don't think.

He had a big season last year, not translated into fantasy, and this year he's taken another step forward. I'm certain these scores wont continue over the whole season, but I'd be very surprised if he averaged less than 60 from here on out. Very busy in the middle making tackles, getting 3-4 points in KM, and seems more involved in their attack than the last two seasons. Of course, it's only 2 games into the season and they may just be anomalies, however I really think he's passing the eye-test.

There's every chance BA has told him to go hard and get involved because he's planning on reducing his minutes at the back end of the season like they did last year, however that's only speculation at this point. Anyway if you managed to start with him or get him last week, hold on and enjoy the ride.

I fist pumped after that run then quickly winced. Man didn't even build up any pace and still managed two TBs

I need a replacement for Koroisau and Mahoney looks like the obvious choice. Aside from tackles and scoots, he now also has TOs.
