I think Hoy will beat 31Ozymandias wrote:Take Niu's 31 or play Tex Hoy?
I think I'm leaning towards the latter - he has scored 28 & 44 in his 2 games so even his low score wouldn't mean me missing out on much and he could add a few more.
I just always think that points 'in the bag' are best.

Back Hoy in mate, worse case minus an injury he will go low 20s. Well worth the upsideOzymandias wrote:Take Niu's 31 or play Tex Hoy?

Brings the price down and lets the pack jump on before round 13
Would have been nice having Munster and Moses post some big scores while Cleary was out
EDIT: Going with SOS for job security over Schuster didn't end up as bad as it looked after the Manly game. Most will jump on SOS with a low B/E next week
You can jump on Brimson, i can jump on Moses. Sounds fair

Are you bringing Schuster in next round?
Seriously considering it since he passed the eye test. My squad is already over loaded on halves so if I grabbed him would have to bench one of Turpin/SOS/Liddle/Schuster each week so probably better off targeting a weaker spot in my 17

Halves this week picked up some good slack. Munster imitating Cleary and SOS imitating Munster score wise.
Trades this week have gone well points wise. Just hope Fifita can dodge the injury curse

We’ll be fine mate even without Cleary, although I’m hoping to rectify that this week.
If Collins misses a while, Saluka Fifita probably banned. SST should be playing a bigger role again so hoping for some following big scores
How are you going about that mate? All my trade outs to get him have scored well. Crichton is my main candidate but trading a keeper feels dirty
Tempted to keep on the same track and go without and use the cash for fallen guns like Moses, JT, cook etc but no Cleary looks too risky this year

Crichton is always the kind of keeper that boosts his average with big scores. Will go in the 50s for 3-4 weeks then come out and post 2x80s with 10 tbs to increase the average. His floor is so high that he makes a better pick than other boom bust guys

All my potential trade ins did well this week
Got Egan but Sitili and iPap also scored well, so happy enough with my choice given Egan was $100k cheaper
Ditching Lam ended up being the right call too.
Walker almost certainly coming in next week
But no thaving Niu, and Bird out puts me in an awkward spot for CTR next week, relying on Averillo playing and giving a decent score

Crichton is one of my targets this week.
Welch and Turpin to Crichton and Schuster is definitely a possibility but will see how the round finishes up, Tinos on thin ice
Oh yes forgot about Walker. TLT will be a goody

I'm holding on Welch because he is playing the "alpha MID" role I expected from him preseason. When Storm have a few easier games he can get the offloads and tbs going. Turpin earnt a stay of execution with his 60. Should kick start his price rises

Probably Munster mate, although his 300km and share with Hughes was what I wanted pre seasonPonga Yeo the Mann wrote:

I'm certain Of bringing cleary in next week. My dilemma is who to trade out of
Welch
Afb
Turpin
Townsend
Welch makes most sense due to break even yet leaves me stefan as my only back up.

I wouldn't have AFB on this list. Looks every part a keeper and probably in contention for 3rd best MID behind Haas and Lolo come end of season

If Walker comes in it gives me a bit more leeway. Havnt been hit by the injury bug yet since I’ve only had half my players play. Big day ahead for my lads

What is Turpin's BE likely to be?

I’m hoping Lam is only 3-4 weeks, in which case I will hold. Can definitely see him coming back and being the dominant half, gobbling up kick metres. Will be useful to loop Alvaro and Leniu as 17th man until then.
Feel bad for Moses and his HIA, but I was targeting him next week already (would have picked him up this week had I chosen Alvaro before Leniu in R2 to afford it). It’s the same feeling when you head into a store to buy something and the exact thing you came on for specifically is on special . Think I will grab SOS and Walker, then target Moses and Frizell as guns and start saving some trades.

460/9c ....8 players on the park today.
Looks like I'll be going cow shopping this week with Schuster, SOS, and Walker on sale

Surprised that he is only owned by 9.3%. Straight swap with SOS seems like the way to go though I dont really need another half. Probably TLT will throw up something.
